When I saw this commercial my mom said "Look Dixie!" and I said "This commercial is so stupid."

How really odd I have seen it several dozen times and NOT once did I think APBT ..... weird I know , I actually have though Great Another new toy for my Friend Ranee who is devoted to her crackberry.....

I will of course sign it and will make sure all memebrs of my home do as well, the aduly pay taxes ones anyway.... Thanks for bringing it up..if we could just get a fund set up for Ranee and others like her !!!

never saw this one, but what about the attack doberman on the other cell phone commercial?

whats thoughts on that one?

While I don't like any dog being portrayed as "vicious," at least the Dobe was 1.) Not chained up, and 2.) was Guarding "his" house (Doberman's are not aggressive, but make exceptional guard dogs!). So at least they weren't twisting the breed's heritage.

Pit bulls are not known to be good at "guarding." If they were, they would've been bred much bigger in size...not 35-60 lbs. Smile So I think that's why this commercial is catching more heat. Also, if you read various Dobe forums, many of the owners didn't have a problem with it for the above reasons.

Other examples of guard dogs in addition to Doberman for reference: Great Pyranees, Saint Bernard, Bullmastiff, etc.

Ah ok, that commerical! I did see it the other day and the pitbulls chained like that didn't sit well with me after I watched it.

I signed the petition. I had a probably inappropriate thought about the ad. They could not totally trash the ad but make a different ending. Give the Pibble a longer chain & have her smother the guy with Pibble kisses. I, personally, think that would be a better ending.

This seems to be an unpopular opinion here but I didn't think the commercial was the awful thing people are making it out to be. Yes, it shows dogs on chains but people don't need to see a commercial to know that many (stupid) people chain their dogs up. The dog is a pit bull, yes, but how much sense would it make to have a golden retriever on the chain, growling and charging?
