Here is what really ticks me off
"'They (the police) should have understood. Since then, the police have explained that it was an oversight on their part, and that if they'd seen it was going to cause upset they wouldn't have done it.'
'We did not seek advice from the force's diversity adviser prior to publishing and distributing the postcards. That was an oversight and we apologise for any offence caused.'"
What pray tell is worthy of an apology here? There was nothing wrong about that card and no need for an apology. I have to look at stuff daily that offends me and I do not run around asking people for an apology. I would not get one even if I asked for it and yet because these are muslims and we must all be very delicate and sensitive with them (why I have no clue so please enlighten me) and must apologize for putting a cute little puppy that may one day save some of these people's lives on a postcard.
The world is going crazy I fear. If we give in to this kind of silliness we will never get anything done, we will not be able to put print anything since it is sure to offend someone. If they do not like the card then they should throw the damn thing away.
Sheesh the world is full of good reasons to be offended, and for the police to apologize for putting one of their canines on a postcard is ridicoulous at best.
