I need to find a rescue for a Siberian Husky

I have been asked to find a rescue for my girlfriend's daughter's husky, Riley, because with the baby it is difficult to take care of him because he has seizures. I have attempted the Husky rescues which resulted bounced emails or no response and I just contacted another last night but I figure its going to have the same result. Riley gained a lot of weight once the seizures started two years ago. He is around 5-6 years old and he is on thyroid and phenobarb meds plus prescribed a low fat diet. He is overweight at 68 lbs at the last Vet visit, he is anxious and he needs a better life.

I assume your friend is also in western PA?

This Husky rescue is very active in New Jersey.     They cover the tri-state area.
Here's the website and you can contact them.
Altho the contact page says for dogs in New Jersey, you can use the INFO address and put a subject line of
    Pennsylvania Dog Needs Help.

Let me know if you get a response.

I have a dog bakery and will be doing an event with Husky House on June 29 at a daycare facility that has teamed to board some of their dogs.
I know the woman who started the rescue group and she will no doubt be at that event.
If you haven't gotten any response by then, shoot me a PM with the details of the dog and your email addy, and I'll be sure to pass it along.

Even if they don't reach that far into PA, I bet they will be able to contact a group that does.   Breed rescue groups, especially, tend to help each other out across the state borders!

Good luck.   Thanks for helping your friend.
