Marine Throws Puppy

I haed about it this morning on GMA. Won't/can't watch the video. They showed just the man (and I use that term loosely and I won't call him a Marine cause my husband was one and he condemns any act like this) holding th epuppy and they said it was too disturbing to show the rest.

These military people are living with violence for too long and it's beginning to show in their way of thinking. It's very sad. Very very sad.

Wow, just wow.  I hadn't seen this nor heard about it until today.

I checked it out on snopes.com and IMO it looks totally staged. Plus, the sound was weird---the "puppy" is being thrown far away down into a deep gully and the sound of the whimpering doesn't change volume? it almost seemed louder???

That is so sick. Even if it is a fake, why would someone make a video of that?? I saw the video, and to me it looks like a real puppy. I really, really, really, hope this video is a fake.  

My beautiful brother is a retired Major in the army.  He shares an absolute love of animals like me, with his three dogs and his covey of snakes, reptiles, and amphibians.  His son has learned a great love and respect for their creatures within their home and in their "reptile house" on his property.

What causes this indifference?

I cannot watch this video.  I can barely read the attached link. 

What could be worse?  My nightmares of watching the video, or simply imagining what was in it? 

Either way, I am haunted and so solemnly disturbed....I pray for peace, in my heart and for the puppy.

As I stated on the other thread about this, I cannot watch this video. Staged or not, this is conduct unbecoming an officer and he and the other2 involved individuals should be punished for it. Kids of all ages watch videos on different sites accross the nation and where do you think they get ideas like this - to harm animals??? It is absolutely unacceptable!

i didnt really get a choice..  i had been up most of the night - severe weather, flood warnings etc - the moment i dozed off i heard the headline on GMA. thought i was dreaming for a second.

i KINDA think its staged, but then again i grew up around military types along with animal/dog/cat haters and can totally see this as being real. thats not to put the military in a bad light. but its like any other pervert joining a group. priests, teachers, boy scout leaders.... they dont BECOME perverts. they were already demented to start with.

if it is true i hope that man gets what he deserves. his face is all over the world now and you know some of his brothers in arms saw the video and did something about it. there is justice in cases like this. we just might not ever see or hear about it.

as much as i like youtube i kinda hate it. gives any idiot an excuse to do something get famous.. no matter how cruel or sick it might be.
