I looked up a bunch of different articles on this and they all said it was an attack. I found one that quoted the coroners office as to cause of death "The Fayette County Coroner's office said Saturday that the cause of the
accidental death was "traumatic asphyxia and blood loss due to dog
attack."
Of course I saw all kinds of things saying that the pit bull must have really done it, blah, blah--but the pits the family owned appeared (from what I have read) to be outside dogs.
This is just so horrific for everyone involved. They said that the dog had always been great with kids. I guess he was in the room alone with the baby when the attack happened.
