This is very sad.....you think you could never see or hear anything worse and then something like this happens.

That's just too sad. Is there any chance at all (just giving them the benefit of the doubt here) that the owners could have believed that the dog was already dead for some reason?

That is just so terrible, people wouldn't do that with their kids so why do they do it to their dogs ?

Maybe....The info on the NHSPCA site was so much worse than the original story. The dog "died from suffocation and clearly tried to escape" the plastic container where its body was found.
