This is so so sad. I am very upset that someone could do this to a poor dog. I am sending money tomorrow to help him get better! I'm praying for a terrific outcome for this poor guy Crying

It's hard to explain but when I see abuse to dogs it feels personal to me. It's like someone in my family has been harmed. Very sad.

I agree with dr_dolittle57.  It hurts me so bad to see animals treated like that.  I hope that poor doggy gets the help and love that he deserves.

Wow, I live in Pgh. and didn't hear about this one, heck I didn't even know there was a Pghdogs.com.  But there was also that incident when a woman couldn't keep her dog took it to the shelter but later knew a man who said he'd like to take it, it was a pitbull/mix and ended up shooting it in the head (I think) and cutting off his right paw.  You know what they say about people who abuse animals this way, it's just a start in their behavior that eventually they will do this to people.  If they haven't already.  It's sad, and I hope someone in prison who is a real dog lover teaches him a thing or two (or 5 or 10).

That is so sad.  Emaciation takes place so fast and people do not realize it.  Looking at the state of this dog, it looks like a very long way to recovery.  Glad to read the dog accepted some food.  Excellent sign.  But there is a point in starvation where the dog can not recover.  Starvation cause such damage to internal organs and once its starts, it is hard to stop.  Poor guy, I want him in my home.

That's disgusting!  I get extemely angry when I see this done to an animal.  Unfortunately, I'm too familiar with it.  We lived in a rural area desigend for city folks to get away on weekends and vacations.  I never failed, every summer they came to these camps, and hotels, they brought a pet with them, susually cats.  Needless to say, when they left, they also left these pets to fend for themselves.  The locals banded together and fed these cats through the winter, adopted as many as we could find homes for, only to have the cycle start all over again the following summer.

One of mom's cats was saved by a friend in the city who found it abandoned when his friend moved out of the apartment.  These things nauseate me!  I hope this poor guy makes a full recovery, he looks like a skeleton, the poor thing!

How in the world can someone do this to a poor dog.  They depend on us so much for everything to survive and the sad fact that there are those that take this responsibility for them so lightly that they are willing to just let a poor animal starve like this is horrendous. What does it say about us as humans if we can't even take care of those who offer such great love to us and only ask for a little TLC.  I'd be terrified if these people who do this also have children I wonder what they'd do to them as well.  People like this make me angry and sick.

I look at him everyday, and I'm reminded how cruel people are.

I sent some money to help him today, if he starts to get better I will send more. I'm praying for a positive outcome here.
