I couldn't watch the video, but I have experienced this kind of thing in RL. As a volunteer for Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue, last year I drove the PA leg of moving some ridgebacks from a failing MO puppy mill, up to New England. I transported (from memory) 4 females, 1 male and 3 puppies. The adult dogs were completely traumatized. They had never had this kind of human interaction, they were terrified.
1. One female crated in my house overnight was so overwhelmed she turned and faced a back corner of her crate. She had had enough.
2. These dogs couldn't keep water bowls in their crates - kept stepping in them and turning them over. I had to put bowls of ice in their crates overnight to keep them hydrated.
3. They wouldn't potty; not in the crates not on leashes. They held it for two days.
4. They coats were terrible - a testimony to parasites and bad food.
So when people get puppies out of pet stores they see one end, as a rescue volunteer I see the other end.
