*sigh*
I try so hard to be magnanimous about coonhunting and working coonhound breeders. Some people do a great job of it and even some people who do things that I personally am not a huge fan of do it so well that I can't really take much issue (saw a picture of the kennels one guy had built for his hounds and they were really nice and he even built his own little room there in the same space with a recliner and mini-fridge and TV so he could hang out and watch the game with his hounds!). But so much is done just because "that's the way it's always been done" and even the people who do things well and really care sort of look the other way because they feel like they need to stick together (apparently, and I've seen little first hand evidence of this so what do I know, coonhunters seem to think they are under constant attack by animal rights activists). When the article says champion dogs, I'm thinking UKC and does the UKC have a policy on culling the ole fashioned way (though honestly there are way more humane ways to cull the ole fashioned way than burying alive WTF!)?
