• Dog Protection Act (MA voters!) jones Posted : 6/19/2006 4:36:46 PM I know there are a few other people from MA here - at Petco yesterday a woman was gathering signatures for a new Dog Protection Act being pushed by the MSPCA and Angell Animal Hospital - [linkhttp://www.mspca.org/site/pp.asp?c=gtIUK4OSG&b=898641]http://www.mspca.org/site/pp.asp?c=gtIUK4OSG&b=898641[/link] This act would phase out dog racing, crack down on a growing dog fighting problem (fighting and breeding for fights), and introduce greater protection for service dogs and K9s. (I was surprised to learn that the max punishment for killing a K9 officer is a $500 fine!)
