Earlier this month, NY also passed a law stating that all real fur and fur trimmed articles sold in the state will have to say "Real Fur" on the label. Faux Fur must also be labeled "Faux Fur"
There is a loophole in the Federal law that prevents some of these things from being labeled properly."The Fur Products Labeling Act—if the real fur on the garment is valued at $150 or less, it can go unlabeled—even if dyed pink to look fake."

Great! I think we should all write to them and thank them. Then I think we should all write to our own state and show them that NY is a good example to follow.

All you need do is ask your local state rep to file the legislation. Give them a copy of the NY law as a reference!
