    UPDATE!!!!! ON DUBLIN DOG BAN

Subject: Dublin City Council admit they lied about their intentions,

    PRESS RELEASE

Dublin City Council admit their press office lied about their intentions,U-TURN on reprieve for City Dogs.

It appears that after assuring both Animal Rights Groups and the Evening Herald /Irish Times journalists that  banned breeds in existing tenants homes were safe ,the Dublin City Council have admitted that their Press Office ‘got it wrong#%92 and gave out the wrong information.
The DCC housing department now admit the Press Department gave out the wrong information.
Animal protection groups are now informing all concerned that DCC are incompetent and inefficient and are using the' tattle' system to seize dogs. When neighbours now report seeing a  dog from the banned list in Council complexes  they will act to get the dog taken away. This dog has only to exist! He does not have to misbehave.!

Innocent dogs are STILL under a death sentence.

The DEMONSTRATION AT 2 PM tomorrow organised by Dog Training Ireland will go ahead at the DCC offices as will our telephone blockade of DCC organised by AFAR.
We are asking people to ring 2222222 as often as possible tomorrow asking DCC to amend their decision.(8-6pm) see below.

Turn up tomorrow or phone, phone, phone.

Unfortunately,  it now looks like the Cork Council is also going to try and bring in this ban. They will "debate" the subject in September. This is getting ridiculous. Do they want to kill every dog in Ireland?? Because once the "dangerous" breeds are gone, and there are still attacks on people, will they just put every other dog down. So much for a democracy!
