What the heck is wrong with some people!!!!

    Dog Abuse Case Investigated
    NorthwestFeb 28 2007 6:33AM
A worker tossing out the trash found the remains of three dogs dismembered and piled inside a dumpster behind the Banner Mattress in Toledo at Alexis and Douglas roads.
Whoever dumped the dogs, skinned their bodies from head to tail, sliced their necks, and cut off their paws.
Investigators know the dogs weren't killed for their hide, because a bag of fur was also tossed in this dumpster.
"I went back to the office and told my partner this is probably the worst thing I've ever seen," said Animal Cruelty Investigator Gene Boros.  "I couldn't imagine somebody doing that to a dog, let alone anything living and I was disgusted."
The manager of Banner Mattress on Alexis where the dog was found can't believe this happened.
"I'm an animal lover myself.  It's difficult to express my feelings on it other than it's just a shame."
Banner mattress managers are setting up security cameras to keep this from happening again.

You know what I think?  I think in all likelihood this is the work of a taxidermist disposing of some coyote bodies...that sounds basically like how they're dealt with.  Not to be disgusting, but they skin the animal and often cut off the feet to leave them on the pelt so that when they ship the pelts to other taxidermists the recipient can skin the toes as wanted.  And really, a coyote body looks a lot like a domestic dog on the inside.  I personally have an interest in taxidermy and am learning some of it myself, and I still love animals.  This may not have been the work of someone simply out to mutilate animals.  Though I think throwing the body in a dumpster wasn't exactly the smartest idea...be better off leaving it in the woods for the forest creatures to take care of.

It did say a bag of fur (skins?) was tossed into the dumpster as well, so apparently it wasn't for taxidermy purposes. Weird. [&:]

I don't want to believe that there are people out there that would actually do this kind of stuff.  Honestly, actions like these are so inhumane that only a human is capable of making those actions.

So that's what a Taxidermy is...I was driving the other day and say a building that said Taxidermy and I was wondering what the heck it was...now I know[:(].

I don't have a doubt in my mind that it was probabaly some disturbed person that did this. Poor dogs, they are in a better place now.
