    Happy hollow pets

Has anyone heard of happy hollow pets ?
I am assuming they are a puppy broker, but I have look on the internet and cant find any info on this co. It's supposed to be based out of Williamsville, Mo

Before I knew better 2 yrs ago I bought my corgi from a pet store. I have been trying to find out where she came from, and this happy hollow pets was listed on some of the paperwork where I bought her as well as the breeder name ( sherry sutherland lebanon, mo ).

    Anyone have any information ?

If you bought her at a pet store, and the paperwork says Missouri (or any other Midwest state), it's a virtual certainty that you have a puppy mill dog.

There is a man, last name Sutherland, who appears to be running a pup mill in Tennessee.
You could check with USDA to see if this person is listed as a broker.

    You could always try [linkhttp://www.petshoppuppies.com/]http://www.petshoppuppies.com/[/link]
You fill out a questionaire and they research it for you- but the only thing is it takes a while (maybe a 2-4 weeks) because it's free. Their site is down though, so I don't know when it will open back up.

I agree with Anne though, since it is Missouri, and that's one of the biggest puppy mill states there is, it's a strong likelyhood that she came from a puppy mill.

But, the past is in the past, and I'm glad that you found us here, so whatever she is, or where-ever she came from, just love her... And next time you want another pup, either get it from a shelter or a responsible ethical breeder. [sm=biggrin.gif] (I'm trying to be sensire, not sarcastic, I promise)

Thanks guys for all your help. I feel so guilty for buying her at a pet store, I had no idea until I came to Idog.
I am now looking to add to our corgi family and this time have been talking to reputable breeders.
I will never ever ever ever buy another petstore puppy.
I had found the website you were talking about Doc, I will try back again.
BTW I didnt take it sarcastic at all [:D]

    Thanks again guys

If you're interested, I know of a great breeder. Only thing is, she's in Canada, and so getting a pup from her would involve shipping. I'm getting a pup from her... a fluffy corgi. Her champion bitch threw 2 fluffies along with several show-quality dogs. There is one pet-quality pup left I believe (a fluffy), and she is trying to find him a home. The litter is 10 weeks now, and she's starting to get worried that nobody will give this last pup a home.

Anyway I dunno if I'm allowed to post the link to her website which has all her info on it, so just PM me if you're interested or curious lol...

What's a fluffy Corgi?  A long coated one (like a rough Collie)? Post a picture!!!

Fluffy Corgi's are cute little things, it's considerd a flaw and you cant show them, but so adorable.
I think the akc has a pic of one listed, or google fluffy corgi.
But yes they kind of look like a collie.

    There is one there. >^_^<

Yes, it's considered a serious fault in the show ring, even though supposedly they're supposed to have better structure than the regular ones. But it doesn't matter if you're looking for a pet, and show breeders always have pet quality pups left over. >^_~<

Wow, how BEAUTIFUL! I've never seen a floofy Corgi!! So cute... Wow.

That dog is absolutely GORGEOUS !!! I much prefer it to a standard Corgi. Looks like a little legless collie !

It reminds me of kindof a longhaired, short-legged fox... >^^;< Which is what attracted me to it.

I have slightly complicated news though... The breeder was having trouble finding a home for this last puppy, and so she is shipping him to the US on Tuesday to one of her friends who will try and adopt him out. Perhaps if you're still interested you could contact her and get her friend's contact, and perhaps the lady might consider adopting him to you after he gets to the US... I don't know her friend so I don't have that information... you'd have to ask her.

I can't imagine why nobody would want this last fluffy lmao... She's had a surprisingly difficult time finding him a home, while the majority of the puppies were reserved before or right after they were born... >O_o;<
