I was going to say the same thing. For example, in Texas, wolf hybrids are not regulated. In Wyoming, though, it is illegal to breed and sell wolves or wolf hybrids. In other states, any canid over 50 percent requires a wild animal permit and is considered undomesticated. Even though dogs and wolves are close, genetically, there are some tempermental differences to make wolves very much not an ideal pet for the average pet owner. Either a lot of education or, better, direct experience with wolves should be a must. Really, this wolf should be surrendered to a habitat to determine if it's wild enough to survive on its own or will need special assistance. If the latter is the case, and I hate to say it, it would be better off in a zoo where it's meals would be provided, or live at a permanent wolf sanctuary.
