Doesn't it kill you to see dogs treated like...

I hate when people abuse their dogs. It just makes me so darn angry. When I was younger, me and my brother found an old black lab that was lost and confused. It looked mis treated, and it had a dent in its neck from a too tight collar. We found the owners, who lived near us, and as we were turning to leave, we saw the owner beating the dog. It was horrible. I have seen people beat dogs many times, and I hope i never have to see it again. I guess if you are involved with dogs, you will see it every once in a while, but I don't like it. Is there any place you can report it? If you report it and the pound takes the dog away, what if it doesn't find a home and is put down? Its just a bad situation.

It is very sad, I moved to Puerto Rico 3 years ago and it still amazes me how people treat their dogs, its horrible.

I mean when I tell people that Lizzie cost me X amount of money and that she sleeps inside, in a crate and is house trained they look at me like I am an alien. I guess for alot of people animals are not very important

Yeah, it truly is horrible. On my website, I try to educate people about treating dogs the right way. Its not fair either, so many people think that dog sledding is a cruel and inhumane sport, but its not. The dogs love to run. Some kennels even have giant hamster wheels in with the dogs, because the dogs even run when they are not pulling a sled. If people tell you that dog sledding is cruel, visit the other side of the story first.
