We need your help. The time has come. The dogs are ready. The only thing missing is a forever home. Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are “Training To Lead”. A project based learning opportunity at Stafford High School. The program teams non-traditional students with dogs from the Pratt Area Humane Shelter for a 26-week training program. The dogs are house and crate broken and trained to Certified Therapy Dog certification. All dogs are spayed or neutered, have all their shots and a current health certificate. However, the program was developed with the understanding that many individuals that can benefit from a therapy dog may have limited finances. The objective of the program is to help non-traditional students and rescue dogs develop the skills that enhance their lives. Our goal is to provide a win/win situation for everyone involved.
