• Animal cruelty case JackieG Posted : 7/1/2010 11:13:36 AM Two men have been sentenced for animal cruelty here in San Antonio.  One received three years and one got eight years.  They tortured and killed four cats.  The cruelty was unbelievable. I wish people would understand that when you advertise an animal like you do a piece of exercise equipment, all the nuts come out. Animals advertised on these types of sites/newspapers are taken to be used in laboratory experiments as well. It is good to hear that these "people" were actually sentenced to jail time. Considering animals are only considered property, this does send a message that there are consequences for torturing animals.  Maybe this is the first step to seeing real penalties for these kinds of acts.
