    Some REAL Dog Bite Stats

Worth reading for any anti-BSL advocate.  This person gets at the *circumstances* and not just at the breed, in an effort to provide accurate information that could actually be used to prevent further bite fatalities:

Thanks so much for the information.

There is too much bad press on certain dog breeds because journalists make matters worse by omitting important details related to those cases. Scary news gets attention. That's how they sell newspapers.

I know many people who have some of the breeds listed and they are just the sweetest pets. I believe that has a lot to do with them being respoinsible dog owners.

In the case cited in San Antonio, the grandmother and other family members said the dogs had been aggressive in the past.  I believe she was charged in this case.  A child left alone with dogs known to be aggressive.  Boggles the mind.

This was a very informative read. Whenever anyone says "Pit-Bulls" are the only ones who attack, I will show them this. Thank-You.

I'm having a hard time understanding how someone can leave a 2 week old alone with a chow. . .or any dog??
