     Details huh?

Well, apparently, the cops told her they would go out and get Zia if it was her.  Jen gave them the number and location of her tatoo, described her ear to them(she has a scar or something on it) and gave them pictures, so they could identifiy her.  Unfortunately, when they got there, nobody was home and Zia would not come to them.  But they thought it was her.

The next day (yesterday) they found out that he was out of town, and told Jen to just go get her.  So Jen went out there, and on the way, the guys mom called her cell phone, saying she would meet Jen out there.  Apparently she was going there to feed Zia daily, or whatever.  She wanted to see Zia's reaction and see if Jen was telling the truth about her being her dog.  Jen found it laughable, because if it was her, Jen was taking her, even if she didn't have a great reaction.  I mean, who knew what these people had done to her right?  Anyway, Zia came to Jen, sat and stared at her for a second, then went nuts.  Got Jen all muddy jumping all over her.  Clearly she was happy to see her.

The lady told her,"Well, if you ever decide you don't want her anymore, she's got a good home here to come to."  THAT is clearly a matter of opinion.

So today began Zia's refresher course on being an inside dog again.  Potty Training 101.  Yesterday she met her packmates all over again, and as far as I know, that is going well.  The stairs were tricky, but she's figured them out again.  She's fat, and stinky.  Her coat is full of burrs.  Her teeth and breath are horrid.  But she's back in the right hands again.  With someone that will take care of her, and not just use her as a lawn ornament.

Thank you all, so so much for all your support and caring right along with me, for a stranger's dog.  Jen's not a stranger to me, but to you she is, and it means a great deal to me, to have such a great group of friends I can lean on.  I'm probably not wording that right, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

She knows.  At least I think she knows.  I've told her, and I've read her bits and pieces.  I'd love for her to read the whole thread.  I may copy and paste it to her, so she sees what an awesome family we have here.
