OMG - Cathy, you just gave me an idea for the best Christmas gift ever (and you'd normally never catch me dead buying her a gift).  A SNUGGIE!!!

LOL - yes, that's even better.

It's too bad I can't post a pic of this co-worker because you'd be laughing right along with me.  I can visualize her sitting there in a Snuggie trying to use the computer without the sleeves knocking all the paperwork off her desk.  Even funnier, because she's only about 5 feet tall, I can just see her trying to walk down the hall with it on and tripping on the bottom edge - kind of like how Dopey of the 7 Dwarfs is always dragging his sleeves and pant legs!  Oh, I need to go home.Surprise

And, BTW, I am not a Snuggie owner, nor will I ever be.  LOL

Hey Annie, how is Maghee doing?  Sorry, I started to ask about the boys but not Maghee Sad  Thanks for asking about Sammy!  We've been puke-free since last week Tuesday :)

Glenda, hope Jen is doing well.  How is DS and DIL doing?  Good thoughts for you still.

Paige, there was a blind woman who took my bus all the time. She had a seeing-eye dog, but apparently he got old and she got a younger one.  The new one hadn't learned her route yet and she ended up all over the place.  Not good.  People tried to help her, but she didn't like to be touched or for someone to take her arm, so it was kind of hard to guide so folks stopped asking.  I don't see her anymore, but I hope her dog learned where to go better.

Amanda, I hope you are feeling better!  Microwaved DVD and all Smile

Tina, you should get a leopard print snuggie or something else patterned, it would be funny.  I can't figure out how a snuggie is any different from a robe put on backwards.

DH just came in to show me a universal joint.  Apparently when he was telling me about a project the other day, it involved one, and I asked what it was.  So, being the sweet DH he is, he just had to find one in the garage and show me and explain how it works.  I feel enlightened Idea

I'm making general tso's for dinner.... mmmm.  We eat a lot of chicken.  DH might just well turn into one, one of these days!

I'd LOVE to have a good recipe for general tso's!

Man, stress turns me into Betty Crocker.  Did homemade focaccia bread and banana nut today.  Too bad I can't bake and cook for a living.....

DS is totally fed up and I think he's going to take a bit of a vacation to visit the "sperm donor".  At this point, I don't care, so long as it gets him the heck out of dodge.  DIL continues to regress age wage into dreadful tantrums.

Jen is still in the hospital.  Her WBC is higher than they want it to be (14 instead of 10) so she has to stay until that is where they want her.  TWO toes were affected...we'll have to wait and see what that might mean long term.

I'd LOVE to have a good recipe for general tso's!

It's super easy, although you don't seem the type to take the easy way out and use jarred sauce like I do!  I guess it takes the fun out of it, but it certainly beats the americanized chinese version, IMO.

B/S chicken, cut up into chunks.  I coated with flour/paprika -- we use a ton of paprika, probably several spoonfuls with maybe a cup of flour to coat two chicken breasts.  Saute with some olive oil until cooked, and toss with some Iron Chef General Tso's sauce.  Voila!  But then again, I have not a qualm about buying sauces.  It's cheapest to get big jars at the wholesale clubs, but costco doesn't carry it, only seen it at BJs.

mmm...  banana bread.... I always freeze the extra 'naner or two that get brown to fast, I have about 10 waiting to be made into bread!  Too bad that we'll eat an entire loaf at one sitting, and we're trying to eat better, so I best not make it.  Sigh.

Sorry to hear about DS and DIL, wish him strength.  That's too bad about Jen still in the hospital, with two toes affected now.  Man, all from an ingrown toenail.  Hopefully things turn around soon for her and she can get on the mend.  Good thoughts all around.

Wow, these dogs have some energy today!  They are definitely enjoying this cooler weather.  Harry must be feeling a lot better from his KC, too.  He's pulling all the toys out of the basket right now, lol.  Sammy's grabbing the ones Harry loses interest in.  It's pretty entertaining.

Went to Costco today to buy all the stuff we need for the golf tournament tomorrow (our company is sponsoring two holes...we have tents where we can give away snacks and stuff).  Now I remember why I never shop with men.  BF and our salesman came with, only because I knew we'd need several carts and I can't push three carts around, lol.  Men are ridiculous when it comes to shopping!  Maybe it's because us women have it down to a science.  They were seriously driving me crazy.  I know where everything is, so I said, let's start over here and work our way to the front.  Nope, they had to zig zag back and forth.  ARGH!  But, we ended up filling both my SUV and our salesman's SUV with stuff.

I have the beer in my car, mwahaha...

That's IT?  Gosh that looks too easy!    I don't normally buy sauces but I suspect my arm could be twisted without much difficulty!  Wink

Make your banana bread with low fat yogurt instead of butter or oil.  No one will ever know the difference.  Funny, I do the exact same thing with naners.....in fact when my son went off to college when we went to see him he had naners in his freezer.  He asked me WHY he was freezing them. LOL!  Poor guy grew up seeing overripe naners in the freezer and I guess he thought they got a second life that way.....without any work!

LOL!  Come on up!  I have 30 packs each of Miller Lite, Coors Lite, and Budweiser, and an 18 pack of Guinness.  That's not including the 12 pack of Miller Lite currently in my fridge (minus the one I'm drinking right now). Beer

ETA: Crap, I just realized I need to iron the clothes I'm wearing tomorrow....bleh, I hate ironing.  Maybe I'll try the lazy-man's ironing....toss 'em in the dryer. Stick out tongue

The iron chef sauce is sometimes hard to find, obviously check out the section with soy/teriaki sauces and the like, grocery stoers usually only carry a smallish bottle.  The chicken will get kinda of crispy from the oil/flour, and then I put on sauce but only heat a little after that to take the chill off.  The sauce doesn't cook very well.

Do you do a 1 for 1 substitute yogurt for butter in banana bread?  and I assume just plain yogurt, or do you use banana flavored? Big Smile

I love to add just a handful of chocolate chips to my banana bread, not enough to take away from the banana but just enough to add some flavor.  Damn, I gotta to thaw some naners now and have a project for the weekend!

Yep, if the recipe calls for 1 cup butter/shortening I use one C yogart, either plain or the french vanilla.  That works in all the fruit breads I make EXCEPT zuchinni.  For some reason that's just not a substitutable recipe.

Hmmmm, will have to try the CC next time......
