Hey ya'll!

I wanted to give a shout out to everyone out there! Hope ya'll having a good morning! It's always better to wake up with a dog snuggled into your armpit. :P Well I thought I would tell a little about myself. I am a college student studying psychology and neuroscience and my whole life I never had a dog that became my best friend.. up until now that is. I always wanted that special friend like in AirBud or Shiloh or in "Where the Red Fern Grows." I've had many animals and specifically dogs, but some how that just chose another member of the family as their preferred guardian or we just weren't the best match. Sure I loved them, but they didn't quite become my best friend. I guess it's not just about picking the dog, it's about the dog picking you. So about a year and half ago, fate finally found me. I would go to the neighborhood pet shop and play with the puppies when I felt down. Thinking "Hey they brighten my day, I brighten theirs. It's a perfect little get away." One day on a brisk March afternoon, i stepped inside to see this odd little creature. This dog had very sparse and weird fur and flopped over ears that perked up when a sound was made. He had the eyes of a doe with longer lashes than I. I melted. I asked what breed he was and they said that he was an Australian Terrier/Mini Poodle Mix. This little guy hardly had a tail. He was so adorable and they said he's been there for five months bc no one wanted him due to the way he looked. I just had to take him in the back and play with him. As soon as he was in my arms, he laid his little head on my shoulder and I knew he was my perfect animal counterpart. I bought him right then and there and we have been inseparable since. I consider myself a single mother at age 23. :) Everyone he comes across just falls in love with him and comments on his looks. He grew into his hair, but luckily he still has the wide eyes and the floppy ears that makes him all the more unique. "He's so ugly, he's cute" or when he hasn't been groomed in a month "It's a sheep". are some of the comments I get, although it's not meant to be insulting, but i just think he is so cute and his personality makes you want to be around him nonstop. I entered the cutest dog competition and I was hoping that you guys would stop by Gus's page and vote for the little rascal, for all the discrimination he endured in having to stay in a pet shop longer than any other dogs (5 months), I want it to be known that he is adorable in all of his oddity.
