• sl2crmeg Posted : 8/20/2007 5:27:39 PM Hi guys. Pirate's doing OK. His white blood cells are low but his platlets are up. The chest xray and the abdomen ultrasound didn't find anything. Since they didn't find anything he has to have a bone marrow aspirate in the morning. It's kind of scary, since I know that that is a painful thing in people. And anesthesia is always a risk. • calliecritturs Posted : 8/20/2007 5:52:59 PM Billy had to have a bone marrow draw last year -- not the worst he went thru by a long shot.  He'll have a visible little 'dot' scab and that will be a bit sore, but they sedate them pretty well for it.   Sore, but not as tough as what we humans go thru I don't think (having had one myself).  But then, dogs tend to be a whole lot better at this than we are anyway!!!    Pirate, buddy -- Aunt Callie's in there rooting for you ... and praying and thinking BIG good thots for you buddy!!! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
