Hey gang. Just wanted to update...

At this point, the problem is something with his bone marrow, which has let this big ol' infection take over. There is a long shot that it could be from being on phenobarbitol, but it is a long, long, shot. Right now we're just watching and waiting.

Thanks for all the well-wishes and kisses and thots. When I visited him at the vet I told him how everyone was thinking of him and hoping he feels better. I'll update in the morning or if I find out something new.

Meg, I'm right HERE -- how can I help?? Will be out much of the evening but will have my cell (if it rings where I am). But call, leave me a message and I'll help any way I can (even if it's just to hold your hand). Billy says he understands "bone marrow". Get better Pirate!!

I was going to try and update but I don't know anything new.

Talus, Pirate wants you to know that that was the FIRST place I kissed, the shaved spot on his neck where they've been doing the blood draws.

I did tell him that all the people we knew on the 'puter were thinking of him and wanting him to get better!

I just found the post about Pirate on the Spiritual Circle section, so I'm sending slightly belated healing vibes to him and good thoughts to you as you deal with the worry about your sweet little guy. I always smile when I see his photo. I'll keep both of you in my thoughts and hope to hear continued good reports.

Hi guys. I talked to the vet and she said that he might be able to come home tomorrow afternoon, depending on his bloodwork. Im going to stop by and drop off a new bobo for him so I'll be sure to tell him that everyone is thinking of him.
