    Michael Vick on 60 Minutes!

This Sunday night - I will definitely be watching. Nothing that man could say will ever change my mind about him - it should be very interesting..........

The Eagles just picked him up for two years...

And I just decided not to support any of the Eagles sponsors.  Dog people really can unite against this, but the only way to do it is via their pocketbooks, and through campaigns directed at the sponsors.  That might get their attention that this was a really bad choice.  I will not be watching his butt on 60 minutes, in the NFL, or anywhere else.  The man disgusts me.  Those dogs weren't just killed - according to some reports, they were tortured.  Who but a really sick individual does that to dogs????  Yup, you guessed it - the latest role model for American youth.  Sickening.

    Ick!Ick!Ick!

I'm a Cowboys fan, through and through, and have been in since I first started watching them in 1969. And they passed on Vick. They may not have had many winning seasons in recent memory but at least they have a little brains left. I feel that Vick got off light but that is the justice system. I think his sentence should have include PSAs about cruelty to animals. Make him learn from his experience. Make him speak out against the "gangsta" life. Anyway, I bet Vick is out of practice and the season with the Eagles will be lackluster, in spite of the controversy. And that will get him dropped quicker than the dog fighting.

I don't care for football ( and that's putting it mildly) but I would watch ANY team that publicly denounced this worthless piece of*&^%. I agree, we need to put our money where it will do the best: AGAINST Michael Vick.

Huge Steelers fan here so it won't be hard at all for me to ignore the Eagles.  It's just that now he's living in my state...

You know it's bad when the Detroit Lion's wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole!  Thank goodness!

    • Gold Top Dog

Is it wrong to hope that dog lovers on his team tie his shoelaces together in the huddle?

I won't be watching him on 60 minutes because that's just feeding the troll.

Sheesh, and I'd always liked you....

Sorry, couldn't help myself, Skins fan and all :o)   But seriously, I'm very disappointed that he got signed.  Not overly surprised, but hugely disappointed.  I hope Ron is right and he'll get dropped soon.

    • Gold Top Dog

I am also unhappy that he was signed. I hope he spends all his time keeping the bench warm or better yet with the bench up his as*. Oops, did I say that....... Anyway, the Eagles are playing a preseason game in Jacksonville next week and how I wish I could be there to protest!!!! If they come to Tampa I will be there for sure showing my disgust for allowing this man to once again be in the spotlight making more money than most of us can dream of after the horrific things he has done. He is the devil to me.

All I can say is Kharma......................

Hi All, I am new here. I am a huge Chiefs fan. My hubby and I sighed with relief when he didn't come here. This whole Vick thing makes me sick. The excuse of saying that is how he was raised is rediculous. The man was the highest paid NFL player. He did not do this because he needed money. It was all in fun for him. I can't imagine watching dogs ripped apart, killing them and think it is fun. That is a twisted mind. Twisted minds do not feel remorse. Here is a link showing the Philadelphia Eagles sponsors. I hope you all join me in a writing a few emails.

I definately will not be watching, I have no interest in anything this "thing" has to say.  The couple of quotes that I have seen advertised indicate that he is still not taking responsibility for the deaths that he participated in.  I too will be joining the boycotting and e-mailing of the companies that are advertising on the Eagle's web page.

    • Gold Top Dog

Thanks for the link, Dinks.  I'll be busy emailing all the sponsors listed.

After seeing him and hearing his remarks at the press conference after his signing I will NOT be watching 60 minutes tomorrow night. I was disgusted by the ignorant babble that I heard fall out of his mouth in just that short couple of minutes on my local news. He is such a lying, disgusting piece of ***. I'll be writing letters to sponsors and getting my sign ready to protest the team when they arrive in Tampa.

I'm really glad that so many of the fighting dogs kept by Michael Vick were given a chance at rehabilitation and have succeeded so well.  Many wanted to write them off and euthanize the bunch.

I'm also kind of sad that the same spirit of compassion does not seem to apply to humans...

If this man were an animal I think most of you would not give up on him.
