IMO, Zeke had come to both of us to let us know that he was in fact gone.

I lost a cat, never did find a body but I'm pretty sure he was caught by coyotes. ANyway, I had several dreams that he'd come bopping through the doggy door and come to see me. One time I asked him. "Opal, where have you been!?" and he replied "I went to be with Satchmo." Satchmo was a bichon who had left for the bridge a year earlier. I had spent a lot of time looking for him, putting out fliers, worrying over him. I had many dreams about him but once I had that last one, I understood and let him go. There are SO many questions about spirituality and what-ifs and afterlife... oy to have the actual true knoweldge!

I will probably sound didactic and certainly provincial but what the heck. There is a Rainbow Bridge. And I say that even though I don't go to church or am affiliated with any religion and have even been known to criticize the Bible. None of that changes what I think exists as the Rainbow Bridge. Maybe it is a matter of faith that feels like a certainty to me. Oh well, I never said I was perfect. So, even for those of you who doubt, I will see you at the Bridge. I'm the really tall guy with the Texas accent.
