Glenda I am so glad it worked!  Everyone else make sure you get the low sodium V8 it's got a greenish label.  Regular V8 is good but not nearly the miracle juice that the LS version is!

Tina perhaps it was a cold sore coming on LOL  One of these days DH will remember not to leave stuff out - well stuff we know the beast will get when bored.  he has been 'fetching' this carmex all week but today was the first day he opened it and used it Huh?  DH leaves it on the nightstand.

Amanda I am so sorry to hear about your grandad - I hope all goes well and Bevo Tongue Tied OUCH!  Healing vibes coming your way

It's DH's birthday today and I've already had two pieces of cake.

that really did make me LOL

I hope Bevo and his great-grandpa are both better soon!

I got a call today from another place I applied - the humane society two towns north of here - I interview with them tomorrow. I'd rather work there and make crappy money and at least be HELPING some animals....sheesh.

Target had it's spring line of running gear on clearance - FINALLY I have some tops to run in that aren't yucky cotton! BF picked me two as a 'surprise' for being so good about keeping up running.

Holy cow, I need this mindless chatter thread today.

I just about had a panic attack today. I had to have 2 moles removed and checked. Well one was on the underside of my ear. Let me just say that FREAKED ME OUT!!!! The doc numbed it but that stuff does not totally work on me for whatever reason so I was not totally numb. Then she started to burn it off. I could hear the "blow torch" type thing becasue it was on my ear!!! Omg. AND I could smell burning flesh!!! Double omg. Ok so that was bad. To top it off, my ear would not stop bleeding after. We put meds on it to help it clot. We applied pressure etc. Nothing. Well, I left with gauze thinking it would stop eventually and went back to work. I'm doing my work stuff and feel blooding falling on my shoulde, yikes. Check the mirror, sure enough lots of blodd falling down my neck. This was 45 mins after the procedure btw. So I call them and go back in and guess what - I have to go through it all again!! 3 numbing shots, blow torch, smoke and burning flesh. Yeah. I pretty much needed a valium after all that.

I have tracking tonight but I'm still shook up and just want to sit on my chair and watch tv

Yikes Julie, that gave me a panic attack just reading about your experience. I hope the bleeding is stopped and stays stopped for the night. I'd say a valium or cocktail is definitely in order.

I don't know how I did it but I strained or pulled the muscle where the arm meets the shoulder (deltoid?). It hurt last night but today it HURTS. I've been icing it off and on but it's very achey. I've really been kicking my workouts into high gear so I'm strong for the surgery and I swear this is God's way of say - chill out!!

My 2nd in command boss called me this afternoon and asked me if I'd rather have a 10% raise or part-time help. I couldn't believe it but I said I'd prefer the 10%. I'd really like both but more likely I won't get either one.

Good grief, Julie.  That would have sent me right over the edge.  I can take pain but it's the sounds and smells that get to me, like with dental work.  I hope after all that, the path report comes back good.

I'm waiting for an estimator for the siding.  The appointment clerk was a real challenge to deal with so I hope he shows up. :(

I'm a little freaked out about a message on my machine when I got home.  It was from my long lost half brother who has been living in California for the past 40 plus years.  I barely remember meeting him when I was a kid.  He is the middle child of my Dad's first marriage and never had anything to do with any of us all these years.  I've heard all sorts of stories about him, good and bad.  His message was that he's moving here but he added " I'm not looking for any help or anything".  That was kind of strange.  He got divorced a few years ago and from what I have heard thru the family grapevine, he hasn't been doing well.  Well, I'll give him a call in a little while.   I have one brother living here and he is alone now that all his girls are grown and married.  I'm already scheming on how to get the two old batchelors together.

So I am past the point of BORED!  Both dogs are asleep. I made them think earlier. Lol. Alex is laying down. Maze's class was canceled due to both trainers having colds.  My head hurts due to too much coffee.. I know better but I couldn't help my self!  I can't get back into my book.. *sigh*

And I'm trying to think of a way to teach my non ball crazy JRT how to play fetch! *bangs head on desk* I think I'll make a post about it in training...

Janice, the weeds will still be there tomorrow - leave 'em!

Don't worry about the cake - just face the side towards him that you didn't cut - he'll never notice...LOL

Maybe the DVDs are a hint - you know, start working on a sibling for Willa.  Stick out tongue

    LOL Tina! My responses:

The weeds will be doubled by tomorrow.

I made the cake Tuesday night, DH & I both dug in at breakfast and after lunch. Of course I had to have dessert after dinner! (where's the little piggy icon when you need it?)

Yeah, I wish! Unfortunately we're really broke. I actually was checking online and I just got FOUR $35 overdraft charges because my check (unemployment) got deposited a day later than it should have. Since the deposit went through the next day and I moved over some money from my savings accounts, I won't get fined by the businesses also. I called and complained, because I KNOW when I set up my checking and savings, I signed up for overdraft protection - if I didn't have enough money in my checking, they'd pull it from my savings. Well they had no record of that. I've had the same account for about 8 years and never had this happen. They only reimbursed me one of the charges. Better than nothing but I'm so pissed. What a waste of over a hundred dollars. Especially now when I'm barely scraping by as it is.

Jackie, I hope that your siding guy came by.  Our house is brick & siding.  We had our siding replaced last year, & it looks so much better than before.

Oranges, you can probably use a clicker to train a fetch, much like you would train a formal retrieve, but I wouldn't plan on Sandy becoming "ball crazy."  Some dogs just aren't ball dogs.

My grandpa came out of surgery very well.  The tumor wasn't huge, & the surgeon feels very good about the removal/resection.  The histopath results should be back Friday.

On the drive home, I stopped for bbq.  The servers were quite entertained by the dogs & I sitting out on their patio.  Brutus likes to "protect" me sometimes, but, today, he was very mellow & easygoing.  We've been working to teach him the appropriate reaction to people coming towards me.  Today's behavior was a big step.

Dang it Jano! Banks are so stupid sometimes :( I have overdraft protection too but there isn't anything IN my savings, d'oh. I might go and ''close'' my account. Maybe if they think you're leaving they'll reimburse you the other charges.

Amanda, I would behave if there was BBQ involved, LOL. Brutus knew what was coming!

Pirate had SO MUCH FUN on the boat - he was so tired by the end that he climbed in the center console...apparently it looks enough like a crate that he thought he'd make do.

Silly Pirate!  You & Schatzi could be soul mates!  She loves to burrow under the seats of the car.

Photographic evidence - sorry it's from my phone!

    Poor Pirate!  He looks exhausted!

Maybe she won't be ball crazy but I'd would SOME enthusiasm when playing a game with me besides training. Lol. She doesn't care for tug toys, squeak toys.. Nada. I'm hoping to charge a ball like I did with Maze and the tug toy.. Might take a bit longer thou.

Have you thought about seeing if she has any interest in a soccer ball?

Shooter gives me the finger when I try to convince him to fetch a tennis ball.  (He gives me the finger often.)  He is obsessed with chasing a soccer ball though.  I use it as a training reward, because he loves it that much.

    • Gold Top Dog

Hadn't thought about a soccer ball, but there is a basketball that she plays with when Maze hasn't stolen it.. I think I'll take her and the ball to the park tomorrow and see if she'll play with it.
