Mindless Chatter Saturday

I usually go tanning after work, so I can nap. When they ask if I want the stand-up, I laugh and tell them I want to nap.

I know for me that defeats the purpose!  The max. we can go is 15 minutes but if I'm tired it feels like eternity.  Today, I fell asleep and jolted myself awake, still had 6 minutes left.  I wish they could turn off the UV and just let me sleep!

Karen, I'm so sorry about your friend.

Today was a busy & productive day.  I'm exhausted now, but it's the good kind of exhaustion.  If that makes sense...

Brutus rocked at his obedience class.  I was so proud of him, & he actually appeared to have a clue as to what was going on.  It was impressive!

Bevo, Shooter, & I covered for another therapy team at a nursing home today.  Shooter found himself one little old lady, & refused to leave her.  I'm pretty sure that he sat in her lap for the full 2.5 hours that we were there.  Bevo, otoh, was a bit overwhelmed & slightly annoying.  He was very frustrated that people weren't rushing to him to slather him with attention.  It was really obvious that he is much happier with active, hyper kids, than he is with slower, more sedate seniors.  We were paired with a very annoying woman, who I will have to post about later.  By the time we left, I was ready to strangle her.

We came home after our visit, & a friend came over with her dog for dinner.  Brutus acted like a total freak, which I also need to post about later.  We had nice dinner, & conversation while the dogs ran around like idiots.

When they left, I finished off all of the work that has been stressing me out.  Tomorrow, I can do whatever I want to do!  Which means that I'm going to find things for the kids to do in NYC.

On a sad note, the neighbor's cat was in our yard yet again, & this time, he didn't escape quick enough.  Shooter got to him first, & held him until Bevo & Brutus ran over to help, or play tug-o-war.  It wasn't good :(

Karen, I'm sorry too.  How sad.

I had a pretty productive day today.  The livingroom is tidy, if not quite up to my standard yet.  The dishes are done.  My room is on the way to being clean, and my bathroom is spotless for one more day.  Oh and I steam mopped my hallway, which needed it badly as its one spot that gets overlooked most times.  I'm most pumped about my bedroom though.  Its the catchall in my house.  I have no closets or a shed so my room is my storage area for everything like Christmas decorations and winter clothes and stuff.  Plus its my folding station for clothes, which I'm behind on again.  Tomorrow is a new day for laundry though.  I won't have to compete with everything else in  my room for sorting laundry.  Yay!  I should set my coffee maker for morning.
