Mindless chatter Tuesday

    Mindless chatter Tuesday

I think it's Tuesday, the long weekend has me befuddled.  Feels like Monday. sigh

We have had two inches of rain over the last three days.  Yeah!  We desperately needed it and could use some more.  DH took off work today, so he has a four day holiday.  He didn't tell me till last night.  I think he was afraid of all the things I might suggest he get done today. lol

I saw a huge tarantula on the back porch this morning when I took the dogs out.  He scurried off but I will have to keep an eye out so the dogs don't kill him.  I like tarantulas, my brother had a pet one when we were kids but he never let me touch it.  :(

We saw scorpions during our stay at a cabin in north GA this weekend - DH was enthralled, I was creeped out lol.

I get to go to the Dr. to have him check out these odd rashy spots on my leg and lower back tomorrow. :P  I had them checked out at a prompt care place before my trip and they gave me antibiotic ointment but they are getting worse, not better. The Dr. at the prompt care place mentioned something about community acquired MRSA, so I'm a bit freaked.

Shingles.  Week 3.  Ugh.  Thank goodness that I have the flexibility to work from home.  I don't think I could drag myself into the office with this stuff.  And, I must save my vacation for our 50th birthday celebration!  Big Smile

I'm working from home today, & let me tell you, I am soooo motivated to get to work.  Wink  Right now, I am "working" hard on a snuggle session with Brutus.  He's finally decided that he wants to be a snuggler, so we're making up for lost time.

Nothing better than a snuggle session with a dog that loves you !!  Jamison is a snuggler too.

Feels like a Monday to me too and although I loved having yesterday off, it's going to make for an even busier week for me. We have a huge meeting tomorrow and then I need to get next week's board meeting packets together to mail out. 4 days will go by very fast.

We really lucked out with perfect temps for the holiday weekend but it's going to be 90ish today and mid-90s all week.

Another Tuesday/Monday mixed up person here.  Was kinda glad to get back to work to save me from the yard work I didn't get done.  I'm stiff & sore - even though I work out several times a week, must have used some muscles that I missed.

We had an iffy start - Saturday morning it rained.  Then cleared by the afternoon and the rest of the weekend was in the 70s and beautiful.  I broke down and bought a tomato plant, a basil plant, and a couple of flowers and potted them all yesterday.

I've got 3 credit card statements to balance, so I'd better get to it.

LOL I put that it felt like Monday on my FB page early this morning.

    Um mindless dat be me

I've had a bike ride and a swim and still feel kind of yuck with whatever bug/allergy or whatever is kicking my butt.  The very sticky - stormy, showery grayness is not helping

It DOES feel like Monday...or Moanday as I've seen written here sometimes.  LOL

It's Tuesday, huh?  I have no freaking idea what day it is...Memorial Day snuck right up on me and I didn't see that coming either.  So I'm guessing that it's still May......

I've got a ton of stuff ready to take over to the house....bedroom closets and bathroom stuff.  I'm not sure if this is any more work than having to secure everything in the RV as if we were going on a road trip or not.  Lots of trips back and forth to the house, which is less than a mile down the road, so that helps.  Unfortunately, it's been so wet here that we don't dare try to move the RV and take it over to the house to just unload there.  I'm not wanting to pay a whooping towing bill to get the darned thing out of the mud!  But, this also gives me time to put things away in my own time without the guys rushing the heck out of me and burying me in STUFF.

Thunders surgical glue has held and the ear looks pretty good.  Whew.

Ahh Tuesday.. The day before Welfare day and that means we survived this month when everything went to heck! Whoot!! Although I did have to borrow some money from my mom but I haven't had to do that in almost a year so it's not so bad.

I'm sooo sunburnt! But it's turning into a tan. I just have to get my legs tanned after I get them waxed on Thursday.. Yes.. I finally caved and made the appointment. All the hair from my waist down is gone!

I'm doing some research on breeding but I'm gonna make a seperate thread for that once I figure out my questions. Lol.

Yep, today feels like Monday. I'm usually pretty energized on Monday then dragging bad on Tues. Today I'm energized. Tomorrow I will probably be draggin.

Can I just brag on the weather for a min? I LOVE THIS WEATHER! That is all.

I was a busy bee yesterday. I put down some mulch (didn't buy nearly enough), planted a bunch of flowers (yay flowers!), cleaned up the yard (front and back), did laundry, kitchen cleaning and so on. I also met up with a friend and we took all of our dogs hiking. Sunshine and Scarlett are just so happy to be free. It's cool to watch them. They learned to fetch sticks out of the pond yesterday. I felt bad though, I think our hike was a little much for Scarlett (hear murmur). I tried to carry her for a bit but she wanted none of that. She slept alllllllll day after our hike and I could tell that she was exhausted. I hate to not bring her on hikes and things but I don't know if her little heart can take all of the activity.

Julie, do you have Scarlett on any supplements for the heart issue?  If not, I'll happily forward you an article that our cardiologist gave me on supplementation.

I think that I need an intervention.  I am eating cake frosting out of the container, & I can't seem to stop....

Amanda, I used to do that with the cake frosting. Now I'm an insulin dependent diabetic. Does that help you stop?

Here's your intervention: most commercial frostings are made with shortening & sugar, sometimes lard, or some equally high-fat hydrogenated oil.  Your arteries are clogging with each spoonful.  I can hear the blood struggling to flow from here.
