I hate laundry as much as doing the dishes. Why isnt Samantha old enough to do them for me?!!Devil

My mind wanders when folding laundry, too, Gina...  Unless you like to iron, it is a meaningless task!

I sort all the laundry on Sunday morning into 4 or 5 loads.  We wash loads all day and Sunday night I fold it all while watching TV.  That is the normal routine although it doesn't always happen that way.

I wish my laundry would wander off like my mind Marty LOL...but come back...folded of course!

Lily has more clothes than me...and how many small socks can I look at before I go insane? LOL. Glad sockless weather/time of year is almost here!

I fold or hang up right out of the dryer.  If not, everything gets too wrinkled and then I get the niggling feeling that maybe I should iron.  And I try to avoid that feeling at all cost. Wink

Flooor-daaaaaa -- no one has basements (they just don't exist here because you can't dig down thru the Florida Aquifer) and few have in-the-house "utility rooms".  My washer/dryer are in another building across my patio -- but it's an 'open' building with a concrete floor.  so no way -- I would have to completely clean the entire building in order to do laundry every single time.  If it were closed it would have to be air-conditioned -- too expensive to air condition a room like that.

The aim is to get everything into a laundry basket so I can carry that inside TO fold it and put it away.  Hoping that rain hasn't blown in or creepy crawlies haven't muddied up the floor while I'm doing this.

Like living in an apartment complex -- you don't want to RISK even one sock falling on the floor in a common area.  You'd feel the need to re-wash it! LOL

Most of the laundry, I don't mind, but socks - what a pain.  I'm just anal enough that I have to match each.  A white or black sock does not just get together with another white or black sock - they must be the same length, shade, etc.

I hang a lot of my clothes out, then toss in the dryer for 15 minutes to fluff, so I tend to fold everything just after the dryer, but not before the fluffed clothes hit the basket...LOL!

I have a utility room with where the w/d is housed, along with a nice folding table.  Never ceased to amaze me why washer/dryer rooms are placed at the opposite side of the bedroom where the closet is.  Silly architects.

Most are probably men...that's why LOL.

My daughter has a 2 story house with laundry upstairs next to the bedrooms.  I just pray she never has a leak like I had once....

lol really! Our little laundry room/area is off the kitchen. We're one story people so no stairs involved...just walking a bit to the rooms...

I usually fold on the couch and put back in the basket then run them to the rooms, I hang a lot of stuff which saves folding. OR more ikely...I forget about them in the dryer and dress the kids in really wrinkled stuff in the am then iron the rest that day LOL.

Sequoyah puts her own frisbee away.  Maybe I could get her to fold the towels, too;-)

Mine is off of the bonus room (otherwise known as the "dog room" in my home.... lol)  I fold out of the drier.  But, I leave it all in the basket till all loads are done then take the entire, overflowing basket into be put away (minus the hanging clothing) i'm really lazy like that.

My least favorite chore, by far is GROCERY SHOPPING.  How I loathe and despise it.  You have to touch your groceries SIX times before they go from the grocery to the cabinet.... talk about redundant.  (1. shelf to cart  2. cart to cashier 3. bag to cart 4. cart to car  5. car to house  6. house to shelves.)

Hmmmm, well my new laundry area, like Callies, is on the other side of the deck in the garage/storage building.  And yes, that DOES mean we got the house!

I fold as I go, and the ONLY reason that I do that is I absolutely HATE folding laundry.  If I don't do it when it comes out of the dryer, I'm likely to leave it there until it rots.
