Mindless chatter - Wednesday

 Dinner tonight is at a great Mexican restaurant and then Ladies Night @ Cancun Cantina (sp?)

Great food and free booze....life is good :o)

Just got to get through today lot's of meetings and then tomorrow we're heading to the Berkshires MA for 3 days.   We are going to do one of those 90 minute tours where they try and sell you a timeshare and then we get the stay for free.  I know they are a pain in the neck but we figured what the heck.   Going to bring Cody and Brianna, this resort has a nice in door pool that they will love.

Today is hubby's birthday so we're going to have some cake tonight and I am making his favorite dinner - roast beast.

Spent most of the morning convincing myself that the shelter pups still enjoy their exercise in the rain, even if their humans (ie myself) do not, so I'll be headed there later this afternoon.

Doing some training with the dogs (mostly Shimmer today, maybe some agility with Gaci if the rain lets up), and heading over to a friend's to watch some Greg Derret agility dvds.

Getting Zipper's recall up to snuff. He came to me with virtually no recall, so while he's a great offlead dog, I don't want him to have those priveleges till I know he knows I'm relevant. *G*

 Baking some salmon fudge for the pups, and trying to thaw these darn chicken breasts out for the dog's supper since someone (ie, again...myself) forgot to take them out last night!

Today is my last day off . Back to school on Tuesday and work the rest of this week. Humph. Lily and I are going to snuggle and watch movies all day. It's rainy and cold.

Kim, thawing is overrated.  When I forget to thaw the dogs meals, which is quite frequently, they have no problems eating frozen.

I am screwing with the car salesman.  He annoyed me & somewhat, insulted me last night, by continuously trying to negotiate a price with DH instead of me.  DH told him, repeatedly, that he was only there to drive my jeep home so that I could drive the car home.  Any way, we were about $600 apart, & I got sick of dealing with the guy's condesending attitude, so I walked out.  He chased after me, but I still left.  About 2 minutes later, the general manager called me to apologize, & assure me that, if I came back, he would take care of me personally.  I was tired, & hungry, so I told him that I'd come by sometime today. 

The soap opera continues here.  Friends are having major relationship problems and I seem to be stuck in the middle.  Grrrr.  I get phone calls from both and another friend calls to share her insight and info.  Stop, please.  I dearly love them both but I can't fix what's wrong and I refuse to take sides.   It amazes me what some people will tell you about their lives.  TMI.

On a brighter note, I get to keep Ruger a coworker's Weim for a week while his Mom and Dad go on vacation.  He comes to work everyday but I have never kept him.  He's a total sweetie and I think the dogs will have a great time playing. 

Oh, I know that Gaci and Shimmer would have a ball with them, but Zipper doesn't really enjoy frozen foods that much, so I really do it for his benefit. He's not really a "picky" eater, but has certain ideas of how his food should be. *G*. He also enjoys his food, and takes his time rather than the other two pigs who try to snarf it down (good thing about raw is that they take the time now to chew!!)

 I got my grade for my fall class today... A. Yippee! I also need my checks to clear so I can pay for my summer class. I deposited them on the 1st, and I need to pay by Friday. Usually, I would be able to get my money the next day, but these checks were for such large amounts that the bank put holds on my account. I really, really need to pay that bill, and give other people their money out of that, but my hands are tied on this one. I could pay part of my tuition on my credit card, but I don't have a high enough limit on my cards, not even using both, to pay the whole bill. It's too late now to transfer that money out of my savings account and have it to pay that bill by Friday. Maybe I should pay part now on my credit card, since I can't ,make the bank move faster.

Speaking of banking I just got a call from the credit union and they will give me an auto loan but want 20% down.  Meh.  Lady if I had money I wouldn't be in this situation!

It's Wed already?????  Wow, guess time really does fly when you're buried in messes!

My area is in awesome shape....looks like a real office.  "My" area though is by the front door so needs to be not so rough.  Mine is a multi purpose area too, as apparently I'm office manager/sales manager/national sales manager/and heaven knows what else.

DH's area is in pretty good shape, but there is still a lot of stuff floating around that needs to find a home.  Poor DS's area.....oye.  He drags stuff out of there to sort through it and makes messes out HERE   Much of today I suspect will be spent guarding my tidy areas from his natural instinct to clutter.

I really wish it would stop raining.  Jamison won't go out in the rain for more than like 3 seconds to take care of business.  He needs a really nice long walk because he's starting to bounce off the walls!!!  Matter of fact, I am too !!!

 Glenda, I am so happy things are coming together for you.  I apparently missed the thread that said what is going on....anyone wanna give me a link so I can catch up?

Ground beef was on sale this week, so I bought four giant packages. I am going to turn the ground beef into homemade hamburgers and freeze them so we can enjoy delicious hamburgers all summer. I love homemade hamburgers but I won't eat the store bought frozen ones.

We have had a week of spending money....the slate floor tiles, we bought a new patio set for our deck, and I went shopping on my lunch today, wanting to use a gift certificate I had, but I liked more than one sweater in the store, so I bought three. hehe. oops. There was also a really nice white blazer/jacket that I will go back and buy I think.

We have to take Timmy for a bike ride tonight, hopefully we have time, he was going crazy last night, he was so restless.
