Welcome to the boards! I'm sure you'll learn a whole lot here! I don't have a peke, but I have a shih tzu (which is similar- they come from the same place in Tibet)

I hope this breeder is reputable, because I know dogs with pug-noses are prone to a lot of health problems. (like eyes, skin, and breathing problems).
Mine sure has a lot of skin and eye problems. Just wanted to let you know.

I always loved Pekingese, if I haven't got a pomeranian, a peki would be my second choice.  I too had read from some where that their eye balls could pop out.  Just keep a list of vets in your area and know what to do when an emergency happens.

Yea When I Read That I Started Freaking Out B/c I Would Just Die If I Seen My Dogs Eye Pop Out *lol* I Emailed The Lady Im Getting Her From And She Said That One Of Her Dogs Had Their Eye Pop Out B/c He Was Playing With A Bigger Dog And They Got To Playing Really Hard Or Something Like That. Thank Goodness I Dont Have No Other Dogs Or Anything! lol I Cant Waint To Get Her!!

Yeah the eyes on them are not in their socket so you have to be careful with every dog breed that has bulgey eye balls. They pop out due to stress or when they get really happy. That is why whenever we groom dogs like those their heads don't go in the noose.

Did you get them from the same place? If so, NO reputable breeder would let a person have 2 pups at the same time, letta lone an inexperienced dog owner,so many troubles can come along with this arrangement. I've been in dogs for over 20 years, and only once have i had 2 pups at the same time, and this was not volantarily either, and i will never ever do it again. The pups tend to bond to eachother more than their owners, they need seperate training, toilet training is 10 times as hard, once they reach adolescence there will be jockeying over who is the alpha of the pair, especially if they are of the same sex,the list goes on and on and on.

Ofcourse i am assuming you and your boyfriend live together,if you dont you wont have any of the above problems, the above can also be kinda avoided with a hell of alot of hard work and time AND experience. However for some reason i am still worried about this pup you "bought over the net". Did you meet her parents prior, does she have papers, were her parents health tested and were you shown evidence of this? Did the breeder ask you loads of questions,do your dogs have health guarantee's,did you ask your breeder loads of questions and did she answer them professionally and adequetly?

Sorry bout all the questions,it's just i dont know why i have an uneasy feel about this?? I dont mean to burst your bubble either, but in the end the dogs come first [sm=happy.gif][sm=wink2.gif]
