Please keep your fingers crossed for Max

Max is at the emergency vet. I went to Hershey for the day yesterday, and came back to him and his crate covered in puke. I chucked his crate out in the back yard for the night. He puked one more time last night. He actually also let my sister's boyfriend walk out of the house without barking at him. He seemed better this morning, and he barked at her boyfriend when he came to the door.  I also saw what he puked up- underwear, when I cleaned out the crate. Still though, he wasn't eating, was drinking, but looked crummy, so he went to the vet. They took blood work and x-rays, and said he was dehydrated, and couldn't tell what was going on with what he ate. They had me bring him over to the emergency vet, where he is staying the night getting iv fluids. I left him and came back to see him after I had dinner. His blood pressure was back to normal, but he vomited a little while I was out, which is not good based on what he's there for. They said they'd call me if he got worse, and I haven't gotten a call yet. I can afford surgery, if it'll be simple, but my mom doesn't want me to do that, and there are no guarantees that it would just be a simple removal. He's my  baby, and I don't want to have to let him go. So, whatever he's got in there needs to start moving out it's way out.

No call so far, which is supposed to mean he didn't get worse overnight.

Not good. We got the earlier than expected call. He was vomiting and had diarhea. My mom is going over. She isn't letting me spend the money to have them do a cat scan, and probably surgery. Somehow, I have to make it through 2 hours of work knowing that my puppy isn't coming back. We have Georgie, but she isn't my puppy. I have to have someone call the kennel and tell them Max won't be there next weekend.

I've gotta go and try to get it together to make it through.

I don't know what to say.  I'm so sorry that it has to be this way and that you don't have a choice in the decision.  Is it possible that she would change her mind if we here could add some to help pay the costs??  I would be willing to pitch in and I know others would too.

That's just wrong!  Do they have to do the CAT scan?  If they think it's a blockage, might it show up on xray (waaay cheaper) and then they do surgery?  Could you convince your mom to let you look into care credit so you can pay a bit off as you can?  What about a payment plan through the vet?

Oh Sweetie,  That's awful!  I just don't know what to say.  I will keep you and Max in my thoughts and prayers today, and pray for a miracle.

Oh no.  :(  I'm thinking of you and Max.

I just read this, I am praying that the Vet can find a way without you having to loose your Max.  Praying for a miracle here too.

No!  Not the king of stink face!  Aspen & Grady both had some thing very similar to what Max has, minus the grundies.  Are they SURE it's a blockage?  They both were puking & had the poopies.  Grady scared me to near death by what was coming out of his butt.  It turned out to be a virus that's going around.  So many good vibes for my buddy & you.  Do you still have my phone number?  CALL ME!!
