What do you guys think of this dress:

It's really a prom dress. I tried it on (there's a store 20minutes from us) and it looked great. I really like it.  Is it too formal for eloping?

 I think the dress is really neat! I don't think there's a "too formal" at all.

In Vegas, they have "wedding packages" for eloping where you get a rented tux, rented wedding dress, pictures, the marriage itself, a pretty set to take pictures in, etc. It's like a wedding-in-a-box.

So if people can run off to Vegas to get married in a tux, why can't you elope in a pretty dress? :)

IT"S BEAUTIFUL!!!!!  I can picture you in it and it will be fabulous for eloping!   I really love the way it drapes down from the waist.

I don't think its too formal.  If it makes you feel special, its perfect.

I think it's beautiful and there are no rules for this, so don't worry about it being too formal. I'd love to see it on you too.

I think I have wedding fever, I was in our garden store dreaming about what flowers would make good wedding flowers...esh.

 Congrats!  The dress is wonderful.  I am NOT a dressy person AT ALL (happier in jeans if I am honest) but I would mug you for that dress

We kept our wedding fairly low key too - we had a few things that we wanted that we splashed out on a little, which was worth it for the memories, but really, it's the marriage that is more important not the wedding!  The wedding only lasts a few hours.... So just have fun, savour it and I promise you won't regret keeping it simple

I think it's really pretty.  And, you could probably have the bra cups sewn right into it.  I did that for a bridesmaids dress I wore.

That's what I'm going to have done (if they can do it). A lady I dog walk for is a seamstress, thank God, and she will be doing the tailoring for me quickly, lol, and I'm walking her dog for free a few time a week next month.

I can't believe that dress is a prom dress though. My prom dress was bright fuscia, sparkly, lol, poofy...it was pretty though.
