This was posted on one of my golden retriever forums and is of search and rescue golden & owner at the Twin Towers after 9-11. I do not think i have ever seen a more touching and heartwarming painting in my life. The dog could have been a shepherd, a lab, even a mix as many breeds and mixes were used. The effect would be the same. These wondrful dogs that give their all for SAR, therapy, serivice, drug sniffing, bomb sniffing, police, military are so special.
i do know that one golden did suffer after effects from contamination and died a few years later. Perhaps others did as well. I only know of Riley. also i think this picture hit a little hard because this golden looks so much like my Hunter that I lost to AIHA back in Oct. 2003, thanks to ProHeart6.
