    Mindless chatter Wednesday

Dont see one started so I guess I will.

I want a Whippet. There were 3 in class last night and they were so sweet and beautiful! I wanted to take them all home!

We had a great class last night. There was a Scottish Deerhound, 3 Whippets, a Chow, a Corgi, Fynn's brother, Fynn, and Joker.

I forgot the 2 annoying Scottish Terriers there. They would not shut up! Oh and one of them kept trying to attack every dog he walked by or walked by him. The Scotties have been coming for the last 3 weeks and everyone groans when we see them coming. Their awful! I do not see how they are gonna show them with them acting that way. The owners thought it was funny and would laugh and say "ok time out for you," roll them over on their backs and make them stay that way for a few minutes. They finally left early.

Good thing because then the trainer for the month brought in puppies. Dobie puppies. Ahhh they were so cute. One of them she is gonna donate to search and rescue so she was testing which one was more comfortable with all the new strange dogs and people. They all seemed to do good so I dont know how she's gonna pick!

March 4th.  OK, I'm keeping that in mind as a part of my countdown to Spring.  Spring really needs to hurry up and get here FAST.  I've had about all I can take of winter and cold.  I'm sorry, but 17 below overnite is just not acceptable.

I'm wondering if the Fates are preparing us for a job in a colder climate?  I honestly don't think that I'll EVER gripe as much about winter again so long as I'm living in a HOUSE.  And shoot, I'm not sure that there IS a much colder climate, but maybe some of the northern plains states are.

But, supposed to get into the 30's today, and even into the 40's the rest of the week.  Saturday is going to be colder, but the extended forecast looks pretty good.  As much as I've come to hate snow this year, I'd rather have a bit of snow than these bone biting temps.

Gosh, its getting bad when weather is what most of us talk about here!

The body is starting to heal finally.  I can move around without letting out obnoxious little pain noises, for the most part.  Still sitting half arsed, but I suspect that's going to be slow to change.  My glorious colored bruises are now ugly browns and yellows........

So, does anyone have some GOOD news to share?

Ummm...let's see.... good news.   The sun did not set until just after 6 PM yesterday, meaning that I saw DAYLIGHT - whoo hoo!

Other than that it was a good day.  DH made a nice dinner last night and it was bubbling on the stove when I came in from work.  Greeted by good smells a hug and kiss and two wiggle butts, just priceless.

I really have to pull out the 'cello tonight.  I'm playing on Friday evening and haven't rehearsed much at all lately.   sigh

Everyone is always saying they cant wait for spring. I want SUMMER. I dont care about spring, winter,or fall. I want summer. I want HOT weather. I want to sit outside and sweat my butt off just sitting there. Yes I am strange!

Lily is "trying" to lay on my lap. Patiently waiting to go for a ride. Can't spell it out anymore she knows what you're talking about. And forget about saying "I'm hungry." She'll jump and dance around to let you know that she's hungry too! Lol, she's keeping me entertained today.

My gamecube came in! FINALLY! I ordered it from ebay and it was shipped from Cali. Priority Mail. It took 3 weeks. Probably because the seller said it would be shipped out on the 11th and didn't ship it out until the 24th....and when I emailed them yesterday I got the exact same message they sent me the day I purchased the gamecube....I will definatly be noting that in their feedback. That was my first ever purchase from ebay and it's too bad it was a bad one....

I spoke to my friend this morning who put her dog down (story in Rainbow Bridge) she sounded better this morning. She is happy to have her kitten back home with her and the kitty is doing well, even playing! Good news there.

I guess I need to give Lily her ride....I won't live it down until I do.....Stick out tongue

So, does anyone have some GOOD news to share?

The sun is shining and one of my river lillies is starting to bloom.  My MIL dug these up from her old house and we planted them in one of my flower beds many years ago.  She is gone but I always think of her when they bloom.  More good news, a friend is going to SteinMart to pick up a few bras for me.  Going to a dog show this weekend!  Cleaned up my desk and that makes me very happy.

I have quite a few lilies also but so far, they haven't bloomed. Could be due to all the gloomy, wet weather we've had the last couple weeks. It just started raining again, but it looks like today may be the end for awhile. Hopefully not for too long cause we still need a lot more.

I was supposed to have lunch with a friend today. Fortunately I planned for her to cancel on me and brought my lunch and my workout clothes cause she emailed 1st thing this morning and said she has to go to S.F. for the day.  Boss has been out all week, so that's been nice too. We have our quarterly Board mtg tomorrow though, so that's always a busy, stressful day.

Its a nice day here...The Houligans are out front wrestling nicely, they just woke up from a nap..  Big Boy Buddy is laying at my feet snoring away.

I've decided that I'm switching favorite seasons.  And, I'm allowed to do that, since we don't get frigid weather here.  I've switched to winter/fall being my favorites now...used to be spring/summer.

Bugs are coming out, pollen is heavy, everything is turning yellow because of it.  Snakes will be showing their ugly heads soon since Spring is near.  And, lets not forget hurricane season.  Surprise

Yep...I'll take the colder seasons and just bundle up.  When we are outside, I'll sit by the camp fire or the little clay chiminea or the patio heater.  Bah Spring.  Big Smile

I want a Whippet. There were 3 in class last night and they were so sweet and beautiful! I wanted to take them all home!

I would LOVE a Whippet! I love those dogs so much. They are adorable. Unfortunately I can't get one right now. I am not going to have a beagle and a whippet in the same house! If they ever got out together, I'd never find them! There are so many breeds I'd like to own though. One day I will own a whippet, basset hound, staffordshire bull terrier, dachshund, bernese mountain dog, and maybe a mastiff. They will all be stretched out over time though, two dogs is enough for me. I don't know how you guys with 3, 4, 5 + dogs do it! Perhaps if my family and friends were more dog friendly, it would be easier, but it is so hard travelling anywhere even with two dogs!

Fiance is skiing tonight with "the boys" so I get the house to myself. I'm in for a night of laundry. woohoo.

I'll never be able to own all the dogs I want. Unless I get to live to 1000. Lol.

A Whippet might be in the cards though if Samantha wants to show dogs like she does now a few years from now. She took to one of the Whippets quickly. He liked her too. They kept each other company while everyone else was busy in a "pretend show."

I called the vet but it wont be till Friday that Lillie's thyroid results are in. I wanted to know now! I am not a patient person!

Oh, we have new neighbors down the street...when the houligans and I were walking we saw their Bassett Hound.  I love those dogs.  Another neighbor has a Bull Terrier, all white...her name is Stella.   They told me one day when we met them on the street walking....they like to call Stellllllaaaaa!  Who knows that line?  LOL

Another day, another conference. Bleh. At least the sun is shining. I don't know why but I am thinking about bobbi a lot today.

*sigh* Honor killed her Tug a Jug.  She figured out that biting the stem off would stop the plug from blocking the opening, and now the kibble just falls out when she tips it....smart dog...Tongue Tied

I'm trying to figure it out if its worth buying another.  She had SO much fun with it...for three days.

On the plus side, it's lovely outside.  The antibiotics the doctor gave me are definitely working, I feel SO much better, and I think I'll take the dogs outside to do rally and agility work.  It seems like it's going to be a nice day. Smile
