Absolutely, you have our thoughts and prayers coming at you from up here as well.  Keep it together while you can for your sisters, but make sure you have someone to lean on as well.  Even if its just us.  We're here for you.  I'll check in as much as I can tonight, and I'll keep you in my thoughts.  Take care.

Bless your heart and I hope everything turns out okay. What about angioplasty and stents? My FIL had that done and he's been fine. And I think you guys are going to be fine because you have the situation handled.

We went back in to the hospital last night and her temp had dropped a little too low for their liking.  They want it at at steady 32 or 34* C and it went down to 27* C.  It had gone back up to 31 by the time we left.  My sisters and I and my mom's sisters are going back in this morning.  They are going to be bringing her temp back up to normal and attempting to wake her up to see if there was any neurological damage.

As far as putting stints in, there is a tear or lesion so they can only do the stint short term, which is why surgery is necessary.

I am just so exhausted.  Yesterday was a long day and today is going to be a long day.  I slept ok last night but at 5am it became a sort of on and off sleep, so I know I didn't get much sleep.

I will keep you all updated as I get more info.

Thanks so much for all of your support.

Sending you lots of prayers and good thoughts!  I'm praying that the tests show everything is ok when they wake her up today.  I second (third, fourth?) everyone saying that the bypass surgeries have really come a long way and are becoming routine.

My mom died when I was 9 and I blamed myself too.  My great grandmother had been watching us months (maybe even a year or more) before and we were being bad and she said "If you 2 don't behave you're going to be the death of your mother".  Well, *now* I know that's pretty much just a saying, but when she died I remembered that and really thought it was my fault.  It took my dad's reassurance that even if I'd never been bad ever she still would have died.  Just give your sister some reassurance (which I know you already are) that she could not have prevented this, it was not her.

Many hugs for you and your family.  And as others have said, we're here for you.

Another thing to remind your sister - no matter how much stress/frustration she brought into your mom's life, she brought FAR more joy, happiness, pride, and love. So much that the stress was barely even a consideration. Remind her of some stories about times your mom was particularly happy with or proud of your sister, or particularly nice things your sister did for her. Because I'm sure if you asked her right now, your mom would say 100000% she is much happier having had your sister (even with the stress) than if your sister hadn't come into her life.

Big hugs and our best thoughts for all of you.

I hope things go well today for your mom today. I can't imagine the stress you all must be feeling. I'll be thinking of all of you and hoping for some good news.
