What is your favorite art about dogs, or featuring dogs?

Here are some videos about Bill Wegman, with his wonderful Weimaraners.

What a coincidence that you should start this thread.  I was going to start one to tell folks about this cool site I found.  It's an "on-line art gallery" that was started by a couple in Portland, Oregon.  A recent "show" was ALL dog art.  I really enjoyed checking out the website the other day.

Artists ;picked a breed on a first-come/first-served basis.  The creativity of the ;pieces is amazing.   It's fun to look for your favorite breeds.  They have so many -- even the most unusual ones.  It's a great idea -- many more people can see their work all over the world, instead of just a brick-and-morter gallery in a town somewhere.

It's called the Wurst Gallery, and the show was called "Wurstminster:"

If the link doesn't work, just go to [linkhttp://www.wurstgallery.com]www.wurstgallery.com[/link] and you can easily find your way to the dog section!

How HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Did you really look at those pictures? The Toller has a baby duck in its mouth with its teeth in the duck and blood running down it. The Am Staff handler has a hook for a hand and the hand is in the dog's mouth! That's not art it's a disgrace.

Spiritdogs, Those are sweet! I love the St. Bernard puppy you linked to, how cute:

My grandad raised hunting dogs, and had a number of beautiful prints of pointers in his house. Hmmm, I wonder what happened to those?!

I'm really into photography so I check flickr groups almost every day for new photos.  My favorites I download and save to my dog screen saver folder.  I'll dig up a few of my faves....

ETA:  OK, these are some of my faves.  I have about 300 photos in the pool at the moment (if anyone is interested in the screen saver, let me know):

I just want to apologize to anyone who was offended by anything on the site that I referred to in my post.  I admit, I didn't look at ALL the pieces; I just looked up some of my own favorite breeds, and I found them to be mostly comical or clever.  Had I seen the ones some of you referred to, I would've either included a warning, or probably not posted the link at all.

I found the link in an article in "Bark" magazine, which is pretty respectable, I think, so I had no idea it would include anything objectionable.  Again my apologies, and if anyone thinks I should edit my original post to remove the link, I'll be happy to do so.  The last thing I want to do is upset anyone!
