Dog Collars

• griffinej5 Posted : 4/28/2006 12:42:34 PM Millie has one collar that she wears, which is leather with a fuzzy leopard print on it. She has a rolled leather collar also, but she doesn't wear it anymore since I got her the other one. She also has a gentle leader that is blue, green, and purple that she wears when anyone but my mom takes her out for a walk, or when my mom isn't feeling too lazy to put it on her. Max has a red collar with black flames. Soon he will have a red collar with his name embroidered on it in blue which my friend is currently making for him, and he won't wear the other one. He also has a halloween collar from Old Navy that I think I paid $.47 for.  I wish Millie could wear nylon collars, cause my friend would gladly do one for her as well, but last time she had a nylon collar on, it rubbed the hair off her neck. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • catlovesdogs Posted : 4/28/2006 11:47:37 PM My dogs both have nylon collars with metal buckles. I think that was the greatest idea in dog collars because we all take tem on and off and the belt like kinds are just so tricky sometimes, and my dogs have broken the plastic buckle kind. I'm a simpleton as well, both my dogs have 1 collar, they only need one and I'm too lazy to get out the plyers to change the S hook to get the tags. • kito Posted : 4/30/2006 9:24:39 AM I use to use a chain collar, because it was strong and easier on the fur. (but I was afraid they might get their jaws caught or collar stuck and choke) I than switched to the buckle release collar which I like. (accept for Rocky he also has a buckle rolled leather collar for his fur.) I also like the martingale collars for walking my female who is old and has neck problems.   (If you have a draw full of extra collars/leashes some of the shelters or rescues will be happy to take them.)
