Do you think Obama has butterflies in his stomach?  I wonder if he slept last night, or was he tossing and turning and thinking "Holy crap, what am I getting myself into?"

I cannot THINK how he would not be nervous...or even afraid I mean sheesh. He sure hides it well tho. I would be BARFING from sheer nerves LOL. Pass the happy pills!

When they got into the Limo no one even protected him close wise...I mean I am sure all the photog's and such were searched and all but my dander went up a bit...possessive? LOL...That's MY Pres...he should have a moving human barricade around him at all times, LOL.

I am sure know what they're doing...the appearance of confidence and no risk at all. I am just paranoid...

I think his limo is called "the beast" and yes, it's very sweet :)

That crowd is just...amazing.  We would never get that here for a new PM.  

I have to say that I am soo excited because my niece is there!  She was selected from her school to go.  I can't wait to hear all about when she gets home tomorrow!  Very exciting day for this nation...how far we have come!

It really is a dawning of a new era - not just his race but his youth and he is such a different sort of man than presidents of my adulthood.  Fascinating to me and historical

It isn't normal it's the 'event' - rather extraordinary. It is very cold too - with wind chill -10*C

True but I think we'd have to elect JK Rowling or Hugh Laurie or something to get that kind of crowd.  Our politicians, and political situation, is just not inspiring.  Whichever side of the aisle anyone is on, that kind of celebration is.

She is the Queen...how incredibly fitting that she is singing...I got goosebumps.

 I'm surprised those musicians (Yo Yo Ma and others) can even play if it's that cold.
