It sounds like JJ has been waiting for the right dog, & now he's found him.  Joker is a pretty special guy, you know.

Hi all, haven't read all of the posts, sorry! I'm just checking in while I stopped by the office to do a few things.

I need to CLEAN. Anyone want to help with that?

I also need to do laundry. And get my old bed out of my room. What the heck am I going to do with that. Maybe I should post a free listing on Craigslist. hmmm

But Joker isnt JJ's kind of dog. JJ likes dogs that just want to lay around the house and do nothing else. Oh well I will take the new change!!

Kind of enjoying a do-nothing Sunday morning. Yesterday, I was involved with something that took quite a bit of the day. DW went shopping with friend B and her sister. Then, we had dinner at B's house.

The weekend goes by too quickly.  Sad

My grandmother really wants to see My Bloody Valentine.  Go figure, lol.  I'll take her today, and get her out of her house.  That should be fun.

I ordered some new pajamas for Chloe.  It's too cold for her not to have something warm. She didn't like being measured.  It's nice to have a little custom shop to have everything done locally.  Should be ready for pick-up next Saturday.

My mom didn't acknowledge my birthday at all last Wed.  We got into an argument.  It's bothering me though.  My sister was sweet though and got me a bracelet that I'd admired.  I took the day off and took the girls to the park.  So, overall, I enjoyed it.

I was up at 5:45 and out at the park with M&M who needed a good run after so many cold days.  Then it was off to church because I was performing this morning.  Then came home, put in a load of laundry and made potatoe and leek soup - from scratch.  I'm now about to crash while munching on a tray of raw veggies at it's only 12:44.

How did this happen?!!? I'm not a morning person AT ALL!!

I'm getting ready to head into town to spend the afternoon with my Mom.  Stuck around because I wanted to be sure that DH could walk the dogs ok this morning.  He fell last night on the metal RV steps and thought he had broken his leg.  I couldn't get OUT and DS in the house, couldn't hear him, so I had to use my cell phone to call DS to help me.  Turns out to be "just" a badly sprained muscle, but a nice lump on his head and a very sore shoulder blade, collar bone this morning.

    Ouch, Glenda, your poor DH.

I woke up early this morning, so I let DH sleep in, while the dogs & I went to Starbucks for a bit.  They love getting to sit outside, & they are so happy when people come over to say hi.  This morning, a very cute 3 year old little boy came over & sat on their blanket with them,  All five dogs laid around him, & enjoyed some petting.

We went & looked at a house earlier today.  I am not in love with it, but the price is excellent, & it is right next to the property where we plan to build our home.  I think that I'll let DH make the decision.

On the way home, we stopped by the farmer's market.  Yesterday, I saw a quilt that I really wanted.  Unfortunately, the vendor dealt in cash only, & I only had my debit card with me.  We went back today, & bought it.  We had the dogs with us so we wandered & looked for a bit.

I have come to realize that I take our dogs for granted.  Yesterday, we ran into an unruly lab puppy.  Today, we met an absolutely psychotic lab, & a reactive rottie.  Our guys just kept looking at them like they were stupid.  I can't imagine taking dogs like that out in public.  I would be humiliated.  When we got back to the jeep, the dogs got extra treats for being so good.

Jeez Glenda, I hope your DH is ok! I am much to clutzy to live in a place where there is ICE. I would be all over the place.

I changed the water in Tiffany's bowl. I hope it doesn't kill him, he really is a nice beta fish...I rarely have to feed him, he's nice and quiet...what else can you ask for in a fish? He looks OK for now but I bet the second I turn my back he'll float.

I don't have class tomorrow, and I have the same professor on Mon and Tues so he cancelled class on Tues. He said he'd still be hungover from celebrating MLK day. Oooookay. I'm just excited to have an extra day off, but I have to work from 10-5 so I really am not even getting a day off. Hmff. The extra money will be pretty nice.

I wish I could find clothes that actually FIT Pirate. He always pees on them, and then the pee gets on his belly fur and he smells like pee. Maybe it's a sign that he doesn't actually need to be wearing clothes :)

Wow, Glenda!  I'm glad things turned out to be not any worse than they are.  At some point in our lives, falling on the stairs just isn't what it was when we were 10 years old. I just realized (after going outside then coming in and checking weather bug and the thermostat) that because the sun is shining outside but not inside ... the temp inside is 9 degrees colder than it is in the back yard. I think I'll wait until the sun goes down to turn the heater on a bit.

The last few shirts I've grabbed for Jules (who is skinny and always cold) have been much shorter in the belly area, and longer on the back part. No pee issues so far. Maybe they're finally realizing that dogs have bits they need to work aroundStick out tongue

Yeah, Pirate's got kind of a weird shape, LOL. He's kinda stubby in the waist for as big around as he is. I really just need to learn to try stuff ON him, LOL. Meh, I just wash it all with the towels on HOT.

I have a horrible, delightful craving for a brownie-a-la-mode. Who's with me? *evil cackle* Which leads me to this mindless though...what's with hating on skinny girls, these days? We went out last night with BF's friends, and their girlfriends proceeded to talk all about how skinny girls never have pretty faces, blah blah blah. I was just kinda like, helloooo? I'm 5'2 and 100 lbs! Quit talking about me! I drink lattes and have croissants for breakfast!

I'm feeling really anxious and stressed today.

There just doesn't seem to be enough time on the weekends to get all the errands, cleaning, animal care, exercise, cooking, etc. etc. in, PLUS spend time with my family PLUS get out to a movie or something like that.  How does everyone do it??

Willow is driving me crazy with licking her bandaged paw. . .lick, lick, lick all weekend.  I put an Ace bandage over it and I heard her pulling the velcro off to lick!  It's gross!

    I need a chocolate or a sedative. . .maybe a chocolate sedative???

I think that they skip sleep altogether! Stick out tongue

Seriously though, I have no clue how people get everything done on the weekends.  I go into every weekend with a list of things that I need to get done.  Every weekend, I fail to accomplish everything on the list.  I think that life would be less stressful if I dropped the list.
