I took me three pages before I realized that.  What finally made me look at the post date was seeing posts from people who haven't posted in a long time. Stick out tongue Shows how observant I am with only one cup of coffee.

I am sorry but I have to call BS on this one. Either this flat out never happened or the story is being completely twisted or facts are being left out. I just don't think the description of what happened is representative of reality for a variety of reasons. First, the poster wants us to believe that a full grown, and large doberman was killed by another dog by having it's neck broken. I mean, even with a pitbull (who does not have the strongest bite force among domestic dogs I'll remind you) it is very unlikely that a large dog such as a doberman could be killed by another dog in this way. People who know anything about dog fighting or dog attacks know that this rarely, actually virtually never, happens. The physics alone would be hard to describe. That aside, the fact that a doberman would attack someone is very possible, just as any dog can attack. But considering the first (what I consider to be) falsehood previously described, as well as the propensity of attacks and violent behavior from the pit bull breed (sorry pit lovers, this is just fact whether you choose to accept it or not) I truly think some facts are being left out here. Regardless, it is obvious to me that the poster is using this fabricated story to promote his or her agenda on pitbull perception in society. They care more for spreading their false propaganda and misrepresentation of facts than they do for helping the countless innocent victims (man and animal) of attacks perpetrated by the breed.

"This could all go SO bad in the media if not properly handled by the attorney. Because if some reporter decides to report the other woman's story first it turns into "Vicious pit pull attacks and kills dog in front of injured 10 year old owner. Pit's owner helpless to prevent it" -- and trust me, it could get twisted worse than that!!" Calliecritturs, this is probably exactly what happened. I am sorry but I have to call BS on this one. Either this flat out never happened or the story is being completely twisted or facts are being left out. Welcome to the forum, Bellykose.  I understand you may be passionate about such a topic, but realize this thread is 4 years old.

Yeah DumDog... such small necks they have (see pic). No way in hell this happened. Not saying the pit didn't or couldn't conceivably kill the dobie, but breaking a large dobie's neck? Sorry, not buying it. This poster has an egenda here that does not represent reality plain and simple. http://www.flickr.com/photos/69407608@N06/6309966774.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/69407608@N06/6309966774/ http://flic.kr/p/aBAehA.jpg http://flic.kr/p/aBAehA

I think our new forum member is not familiar with this style of forum thread and is replying to the individual posts without realizing they all tack to the bottom in chronological order.  Other forums work differently.

Bellykose - trust me, I fought this fight many years ago (you will find my name in this thread as a fellow Dobe owner and rescuer) but the fight is dead on this thread.

No, I agree with mudpuppy's post. Check the thread.

I realized that. Is there a way to reply to individual posts such that they show up under the respective posts or are in some way referenced?
    • Gold Top Dog
There is a "reply" button on the top of each person's post. When the new window opens, above the text box there is a blue area showing the post text and a button saying "quote" below it. If you hit "quote," it will copy the other poster's text in your response. That said, I don't know that quoting years-old posts will be very helpful for discussion - posters like mudpuppy haven't been on this forum for a very long time! ;) Welcome to the forums, btw.

I see. Thanks for the tips. Yeah I came across the thread while researching pit bull attacks and couldn't help myself. I'll let the sleeping dog lie I guess ;).
