It could be any number of things but to me it sound like coccidia.

I would suggest taking her and a stool sample to the vet that way you can rule out if it is a parasite or if she has a virus.

There have been some reports going around the dog show world that the "crud" is out and about and the last cluster I just went to Pukah has told me dogs came home sick. Luckily I was only there one day and limited my travels on site.

    Thanks everyone!

I have an appointment for her in an hour at 10... so well see.  It is pouring nasty rain here and I had to get up at about 4am to bring her outside in it so she could go poop.. I didnt see it cause I was standing under a towel in the yard and it was dark... I had to do the same this morning and I did see it was like light brown water so there was really no way I could get some of it since its so watery and its raining really hard on it.

She hasnt thrown up again, and she did eat dinner.  Shes acting happy so thats good.  I will tell the vet to check EVERYTHING... dont stop until you find it! lol.

What is crud?  Doesnt sound good...

Will update when we get back, sorry no updates last night I fell asleep with her.

Bailey has Giardia.  Its a parasite.  The vet let me go in the back and look at it through the microscope... and she said that generally they are hard to find and there may be one or two, but bailey has plenty of them and they are very active, like they are "having a party in there"... so we got her on some antibiotics and some other stool harder tablet to be used as need... and she has to go back in 8 days to recheck and make sure they are all gone.  She says its possible to get it from drinking stagnant water..?  Dunno when she would have done that tho... then again shes had this diahrrea thing pretty much since we got her so who knows.  Anyone had experience with this?

Poor thing... cant wait till shes feeling better

Giardia is yucky.. makes the dogs feel just awful! Luckily it should clear up with no problem. I'm very glad it was something easy. I just hope Bailey's tummy is feeling better soon!

Feeding her yogurt, cooked brown rice, boiled chicken, raw pumpkin puree might help her stool firm up and her tummy feel better.

Thanks!  The vet was pretty surprised at how lively and happy she was acting despite it all so thats a good sign.. and yep a full recovery should be what happens... just in the mean time I know shes feeling bad.  I can imagine if I was throwing up every hour and had very intense watery diahrrea every half hour, I would be miserable!

I will def giver her some rice and chicken to help her feel a little better, and for a nice treat, but how much?  Same amount as dog food.. more?  less?

All three of mine just got over Giardia.  Either my new rescue came with it and shared, or they got it from drinking from my koy pond (which I will be draining and filling in as soon as the weather permits).  Only one of mine had symptoms (thank goodness!) and after 5 days of anitbiotics (panacur, I think it was called) they all had their stools tested and all are fine.  It is a nasty little parasite!  I hope your pup feels better soon.

People can catch it, so make sure you wash your hands a lot, pick up poops in the yard immediately and wear a haz-mat suit when you clean the poop off the carpet.  Yuk!!!

Oh poor Bailey!!!  Hope she feels better really soon!  You have other dogs don't you?  Is there a preventative they are going to get in case they need it?

Okay more questions here.  I had bumps all over my stomach, neck, one side of my back, and one leg.  DH was freaking out (its been two days now)... but I have an appointment with my dermatologist tomorrow morning (getting pre-cancerous mole removed) so Ill ask her about them.  Could this be that Ive gotten it?  Im not throwing up or anything... doubt the symptoms will be the same though... Ill have to go do some research.

Minnie is not on anything to prevent her from getting it... Ill call the vet about that.

Baileys medicine is Metronidazole and Endosorb

Oh I hope you all get cleared up right away.  Its no fun being sick!  Get well vibes going your way!  Maybe get some meds for hubby too if it turns out you've picked it up as well.  Just to be on the safe side.

Awwwwwwww, Poor Bailey.  I'm glad it's something fairly common & can be easily cured.  Please give her some lovin' from me & the boys are sending some get well nuzzles.

Not likely, the symptoms are similar to Bailey's:

I hope the bumps aren't anything serious. I'm glad Bailey's going to be okay; she sure knows how to worry her momma. [;)] Give her a hug for me.
