anyone know where I can find something like this? help please....

ok - i want to get my grandparents something like this for Christmas....

DH's grandparents had this hanging in their lake cabin - but both have passed away now and none of the kids know where it came from...

It was a family tree sort of thing... This was all on a board ok... let me try to explain...

Family name at the top... below was two grown up ducks facing each other (one male, one female)

The below in a nest were all the kids names on eggs, and all the grandkids names on hatching eggs...

Ive tried looking for this online and i cannot find this anywhere! or anything even close to it.... it doesn't have to be ducks... it can be anything... i am thinking someone made this for them personally... let me know if anyone knows where i could find anything like this before christmas!!

I actually made my Mom a family tree several years back. I used very heavy cardboard and covered it with a quilted light blue fabric, made a brown felt "tree" and green felt leaves. I used one color green for the "kids" and a slightly different color for the kids of the kids and yet a different shade for the great grandchildren. In the center top I put a photo of Mom and Dad, maiden names, date of marriage, and then from there down had four branches, one for each of us kids. The leaves I cut an oval into to insert the photo's of each person. At the bottom I added a pocket filled with leaves for "coming attractions".

It wasn't really a lot of work, but gosh, she absolutely loves it, and has four generations hanging on her bedroom wall.

Alot of craft stores have wood cut outs already ready too that you might be able to craft your own. If you do, be sure to post pics!

I have no idea where you could buy something like that. Try going to some craft fairs, there are so many at this time of year, maybe you can find someone who will make you one. Too bad you aren't near the Hill country, Wimberly and Greune (sp) have huge fairs coming up soon.
