Do you walk your dog before going to work?

Do you walk your dog before going to work?

Do you have or take the time to walk your dog before going to work?  I can do about 20 minutes, but that's all due to time constraints.

With 3 dogs, no can do! They get out in the backyard for a potty break, in to eat breakfast, run around the house while I get ready, then they get let out again for a potty 'n' play, about 10 minutes. Then it's in to their crates and I'm gone for the day. That's with me getting up at 5AM or so...would not be good if I got up any earlier!

I wake up around an hour early so that I can take to dogs for a walk, or run.  I'm afraid of what I would come home to if the dogs weren't tired when I left for the day...

well, i work from home at the moment, but when i was working in the office, it would just be a potty trip and some play downstairs for about 20 min (unless i overslept, which wasnt TOO rare of an occurance, lol). then when i come home i would walk each one seperately for about 1 hour... some days i'd skip, cause i have stuff to take care of, or to see a friend though, and they never really showed any signs of pent up energy. i think i'm quite lucky -  they are actually quite mellow and lazy. they love their walks but are just as happy bumming out at home with me...

these days, working from home, i do actually walk them less. getting out of the house seems like a big thing some days. lol. but they are quite happy just doing some crazy play time in the house with me...

No, but I don't work a normal schedule. I walk them in the morning and don't go to work until 5ish, and even then my husband is usually home before I leave.

Nope, I just open the door and let them out!  All three of them don't spend to much time in the morning outside, they tend to want to come back pretty quickly.  I work from home too, so around 10ish they go out and stay out for hours.  All they want to do is sleep most of day...  under my feet!

Yes, I take her to the park in the morning and we either walk or just sniff around depending on how she is that day.  But, she's not alone DH is home and she's never crated, it's just that I like knowing that she's had some fun and has gone to the bathroom, etc before I leave.

About 20 minutes here, too. He *has* to get some sort of a walk, since we live in an apartment along a busy street so it's not like he can be just turned loose. About 10 minutes of the "walk" is just him pacing back and forth to find a place to poo, though. Stick out tongue

Yep - I get up at 4:45 and we go for a 30 minute walk since I have to be at work by 6:30.  When I used to go in later it was a good 45 minutes.  DH is home during the day and he gets to go back out around 9:00.

No way. I am not a morning person. I barely give myself enough time to get ready in the morning. So, I just open the door and let them out. Thankfully, the 3 aussies are young so they spend 45 mins to an hour outside every morning playing while I get ready.

Haha, me too.  Mine go out and play for 10-15 minutes while I'm digging my car out.  Coke likes to stay out longer by himself.

I do. But honestly, it started out because I wanted to exercise. We go for at least an hour long run or walk before work.
Apollo is fine with 10 minutes outside just to potty because he goes to work with me.

I get up at 5:30 as it is -- my body would not be happy getting up any earlier....  The boys go out in the yard first thing and come back in before I get in the shower (would leave them out when it was warm outside, but now they want back in!) -- then they go out once more before leaving for work.

That said, I take them to work with me, so my situation is a bit different than most.  I can't have them going crazy in my office either, though, so I bring something for them to chew on every morning.  Today was frozen bone day, so they're both still going at it after almost two hours (Kaiser is starting to get bleary eyed now!).  When each of them were puppies I would take them out for a walk a couple of times a day to tire them out.

Any time I leave them at home I either take them on a walk first or throw balls around the back yard for them.  I don't leave a non-tired dog at home alone!

i live on campus but my sisters take him out around 6/6:30ish to pee/poo and eat. Then my dad will walk him around 8:30ish. How do you some of you bring your dog to work ? Surprise Your boss is fine with that?

I work for the family business -- my boss is my dad.  There are perks to working for the family.
