On Friday We are Heading Here... (mrstjohnson)

Cancun, Mexico...WHOO HOO!!!! I am so excited. We start the packing process tonight. Riley is going to my mom's and Charlie is going to his bed and breakfast/daycare place. Both should be exhausted by the time we get back.

This the view from our room the last time we went. So much is different now in our lives. The last time we went we didn't have Charlie or Riley. We got Charlie about 2 weeks later and got pregnant about 2 months later. This will be the first time we are away from either for more than just a weekend...wish me luck we hold up.

YAY! What hotel are you staying in? We went in Jan and stayed in cancun palace. A few years before i stayed in the oasis cancun. I love cancun and will definitely go back again!!!

I'm truly excited for you but also green with envy. We'd planned a trip to Mexico for about this time but when the economy and our savings started slipping, we decided to cancel the plan. I hope you have a wonderful time and can't wait to see all the pictures.

Thanks everyone, we are so excited!!

Orginally we were supposed to go last year, but with me still nursing Riley, everything it got delayed. We are staying at the Omni, we have been there about 8 times and we just couldn't bring ourselves to go somewhere new. We almost booked the Sun Palace but chickened out at the last minute...too far from everything else.

Amazingly enough, this is the cheapest we have ever paid. We are flying on frequent flier miles, so the airfare was free and DH found an amazing rate for the hotel especially since it is all inclusive which means all food and drinks are paid for (came out to about $150/night for both of us). We couldn't believe it! I think with the economy so bad, trip prices are dropping, which is good.
