Pudding is being returned ( picture added and she is with me!)

Her owner just came in and ask me if I can take her back and look for her a good home. It looks like she got the law called on her because she barks at people. She saids that she stays in her front yard and barks at people and that she jumps on kids. Now I have to find a good home for her. She is going to bring her tomorrow afternoon because I won't be home all day. I don't feel confident at the momment, I feel like I let Pudding down.... I hope I can get her a good home like her sisters. I recieved an email from Coffe and Piper's owner that they were starting obedience class. Please wish me luck!

Oh, poor Pudding!  Sounds to me like her current owner hasn't given her a chance, or the proper attention and training she needs.  I think this is probably the best thing for Pudding.  She'll have you to love on her until you can find her a great forever home....one with people who won't leave her in the front yard all the time *sigh*  Best of luck to you and Pudding!!!

It looks like she was left outside on the front yard ( I know irresponsible of her) but she is been brought inside the house to sleep, she got her potty trained. The bad thing is that I won't be able to keep her in the house because 1) there are 11 people living in a 3 bedroom house 2) one of them is a 3 month old baby and I don't know how she will take to that. Now my priority is to get her spayed, it looks like the economy mess hit the lady hard too and she was unable to get that done *sigh* I feel so terrible and so dissapointed with myself. I feel so stupid now that I had money a month ago, enough to get her spayed, and now I am broke and can not got to my parents because they will say no. I will contact the vet and see how he can help me, I bet he is tired of me running too me, lol, last time he said he appreciated how much I help the animals.

That is so sad - at least she's being responsible and giving her back to you instead of the pound. Maybe you can work for the vet to pay for the bills and earn so extra cash? I've thought about doing that with my local vet, except he has a sexual harasment charge on him right now. *sigh* I wish you the best of luck with Pudding!!

Actually Dr. H will more than likely help me and I have already been helping him out with their fund raisers. I will send him an email tonight because I need to find out the days they will have more fund raising events. I know he won't hire me but atleast if I can work off to pay the bill it will help me a lot.

Is this the little yellow lab/basset mix? I LOVED them when you first posted about them. I wish you the best of luck!

    • Gold Top Dog

Yes she is one of the pups. I will post her pictures tomorrow when I get her.

ETA: I just send an email to Dr. H and I am hopeful I will get a reply. If I can not work to cover Puddings expenses I will have to somehow look for a way to get donations.

Well Pudding was not brought to my house today, I will have to go pick her up tomorrow. I haven't heard anything from the vet but I will call him tomorrow.

That's too bad that Pudding's placement didn't work out.  Don't blame yourself, though -- I'm sure you did your best to find them all amazing homes, but unfortunately there will always be some people that will let you down.  At least the lady is returning her to you.  :)  Wishing you all the best in getting her spayed and finding her a new (hopefully forever) home!  I remember how cute the puppies were...

You did what you could. I don't think Pudding needs to be with someone who's going to leave her tied up in the front yard with no training or proper interaction and then wonder why she's barking or trying to greet other kids. It's just going to take a little more time to find the right person. I think you will succeed.

A biker friend of mine once said that all drivers should have to spend 6 months on a motorcycle to teach them proper awareness of others on the road. I sometimes think it might help to find some way to teach humans dog awareness.

Oh well, at least Pudding gets another chance. They could have just gotten rid of her and never told you.

Thanks! I will have to go first thing in the morning and bring her. The lady should have called me since she did sign a contract stating she is to bring Pudding to me in case she can no longer care for her.

Aww...Pudding! I'm sorry her home didn't work out, but considering the situation I wouldn't want her to stay there and I'm sure you don't either. I can't wait to see pics of her though...I always wondered how those pups would look as they grew up.

    • Gold Top Dog

aww... that's a bummer! but i am sure you will find a better home for her! and your vet sounds like a great guy, so i am guessing he will do what he can, as well! good luck! and i second the motion of posting some pudding pics!!!

Sorry to hear about Pudding's home not working out!  Dont blame yourself, its good that she is coming back to you and not left on her own.   You made very good placements before, I am sure Pudding will make someone a terrific  pet.  I am sure you will find her a very good home.

You certainly did NOT let her down!!  You found her a home and you had no way to know that it would work out like this.  You must stay confident and like everyone has said, you will find her another home.  Thank goodness the woman did contact you and didn't just dump her or take her to a shelter.
