Hello and welcome......  Merlin is a beauty..... I was also wondering where Buc's pics were...lol!

Okay here is Buc......

My wife gets mad at me for not talking Buc up more. He is a GREAT dog. Smart as a whip, well mannered and has a great personality.

 We have his and hers dogs at our house. Buc came with my wife (two cats as well) When we met she had Buc and I had an ACD named Bandit (Merlin's uncle RIP) Unfortunately Bandit passed on to an untimely liver disorder (they never exactly figured out what happened and I chose not to do a neocropsy. But he went from a fine healthy dog  to gone in less than a week)

 The reason we do his and hers dogs is that I am MORE into dogs than my wife. Not that she is not into dogs. I just pretty much eat breath and sleep dogs. I have a bad habit of "stealing" other peoples dogs through attention and devotion. I don't want to steal her dog. I give him attention. I feed the dogs and get up every morning at 5 am so both dogs get a good run and play. But I do extra stuff with Merlin and she spends alone time with Buc.

One quick question, how come my buddy Tucker doesn't look like your Merlin?

(Yes that is my hand holding a 2" stick Tucker got obsessed with)

They are just marked up different. Merlin is a blue speckle with black and tan markings and a full mask. Tucker is a blue speckle with Black and tan markings and a plain face.  I personally like the plain faces. I just seem to keep ending up with full masked dogs. (Bandit was a full masked dog as well.)

BTW I like Tucker's Bentley.  The white spot on the head between the ears. It gives the dogs Character.

Ah interesting, if you breed a plain mask with plain mask can you get a full mask or you have to breed plain/plain and mask/mask to get them? Yeah Tucker's Bentley is what points us to what he wants (it looks like an arrow up close and personal) he is really good at playing ball and destroying them.

No they come out all sorts of ways. Merlin was out of a Red/Blue breeding. The sire is a full masked Red. The dam is a full masked Blue. Five pups in the litter. Two half masked girls, a plain faced girl, a half masked boy and Merlin.

I never knew you could do that. So it doesn't matter if you breed blue with red you will get either color pups?
