Kaiser look a like saves a woman!

 Sadly I dont think any of my dogs would save me. Cheyanne might if there wasnt a gun involved. If there is a gun I know she is definatly not gonna save me.

I think Thor will help me or DH, hopefully nothing like that will happen to you or us, so we will just never find out.

Rascal not only attempts to protect me, he also works to protect my interests. The other night, BF was taking Rascal out for a potty break and a group of really drunk and scantily clad girls came out from a nearby club and started trying to hit on BF, asking about "his cuuuuute dog." So when they get too close, Rascal growls and barks ferociously and scares them away from BF. Good dog! No drunk girls for this boy! 

More seriously, I really do think most dogs would intervene if there were really clear and present danger to their "pack." Hopefully, as Calinisima said, we'll never have to find out!

This is one reason why I feel like I'll always want at least one large breed dog around.  Having Luke around just makes me feel safer.  He's the friendliest dog in the world, but he also really reads off my body language -- so I like to think that if someone attacked me he would jump in and help defend me.

At a lean 27" tall and black in color, I like to think that Luke gives off an imposing vibe to the type of people I don't want coming near us.  I think he'd look scarier if he had the Shepherd ears, but he got floppy Lab ears.  He gets an impressive mohawk when he's unsure of a situation, though, and that makes him look "mean" (even though the mohawk actually only comes up when he's being a chicken!!).

Kaiser is only 14.5" tall and 14lbs -- the most I can see him doing is attacking someone's ankles.  lol

Don't underestimate the power of a ferocious growl and fierce intentions! I can't count the number of big burly men Rascal has scared off just by making his intentions clear. Panhandlers don't dare encroach on my personal space when I'm walking the little fella, even though he's a scant 11" tall and 8 pounds heavy! When someone gets too close and intense (like harassing me for money), Rascal means *business,* and most people seem to respect that. Despite his small and fluffy nature!

Great story!   I know my 2 Rotties, would have saved me because they were very protective although very friendly.  I am not too sure about Rocky and Hot Shot.  I do think that Hot Shot is big enough that most people would not even come down our lane if they saw him, however if the truth was known he is probably more afraid than they would be.  Rocky would lick them to death, lol!   I do think tho, if they could see that Momma or Daddy was being hurt they might not be so friendly.  One reason I like having big dogs around too!
