    Dear Tink,

We live in the city in Texas where you used to live.  Be thankful fer the Flor-duh weather.  It got down ta 38 last night, & the guy in the big box on tha wall sez that its gonna get down to almost freezin tonight.  My momma told our dad that since she & my brudder are stayin somewhere else tonight, he would have to member to put our warm clothes on fore bed.  Now iz stuck in my jammies.

    Luv,

    Dear Tinkerbell,

Just remember that however cold *you* are, your humans are just as cold, if not colder. One fun game I like to play is "pick the perfect poopy spot." All you have to do is make it clear you gotta "go" (I find waddling a little bit helps) and the walk around sniffing the ground intently for about 10-20 minutes. The humans say and do such funny things to get you to potty! I especially like it when their teeth start chattering and they start kind of shaking and rubbing their hands together. I bet it's a fun game for them, too. I know sometimes it actually is kind of chilly, but if you pretend you're nice and warm they get even madder!

Just make sure you don't ever, EVER let them take you outside in the rain. Dogs melt when they get wet. I swear!!!

It's already dipping into the teens at night here in WI!  This is nuts!  I just got back from a week in Orlando (nights in the 70s, days in the 80s) and this was not a nice thing to come home to at ALL.

I felt a little bad for Kaiser last night -- he got a bath since he got a little grungy at the boarding kennel.  Of course, baths always make them have to go to the bathroom it seems.  I kept them in as long as I could, but he was still damp when I put the dogs out to go potty.  The poor thing was a bit chilled when he came back inside and he actually wanted cuddle time on the couch to warm up (he's generally not much of a lap dog).

Granted, it probably doesn't help that I'm being super cheap and not turning on my heat yet.  My house had dipped down to 55 degrees this morning when I got out of bed.  I haven't quite decided what my limit is going to be....  My apartment didn't have a thermostat to tell me the actual temperature --  I think SEEING that it's 50-odd degrees in the house makes it feel even colder.  lol  Ah well, that's what sweaters, blankets and warm doggies are for.
